The leaked draught pages of Dragon Ball Super chapter 88 start with a full-colour spread of Goten, Trunks, and a number of other members of the Red Ribbon Army. Fans of the most recent Super Hero film in the genre may recognise Mai and Dr Hedo among those characters. It appears from this full-colour spread that the Red Ribbon Army will play a significant role in Goten and Trunks’ exploits.
Goku, Beerus, Whis, and the Oracle Fish are shown sitting down to dinner following a workout on the next page of the leaked manuscript. Meanwhile, Vegeta is peering above, contemplating the arrival of Black Frieza at the conclusion of the Granolah the Survivor storyline.
The page closes with a view of Earth, and the text bubbles throughout give the impression that Vegeta is delivering a monologue. On the next page, Goten and Trunks are shown posing in full Saiyaman regalia, as if to claim the title for themselves. The two then engage in a battle with a bunch of petty criminals who are attempting to loot what seems like a jewellery store, with the two groups exchanging blows until one of the robbers pulls out a revolver. According to the stolen draught pages of Dragon Ball Super chapter 88, Trunks then calmly takes the pistol from the criminal, smashes it to bits, and tosses the fragments into a garbage bag. Afterwards, Trunks wraps up the bag and hands it back to the criminal, who is speechless at what he’s just seen.

But after a short action sequence, Goten and Trunks easily dispatch both crooks by kicking them back into the sign advertising the jewellery store. Like Gohan’s school-hero balancing act in the Buu arc of Dragon Ball Z, he looks to bid farewell to Trunks now when the Flying Nimbus arrives. When viewed as an initial issue, Dragon Ball Super chapter 88 appears like it should be quite thrilling and entertaining. The new arc appears to centre on Goten and Trunks as they usher in the next age of Saiyamen, so viewers can anticipate plenty of excitement, suspense, and other thrills.
