[New] Read Spoilers for My Hero Academia chapter 373 Raw Scans, Summaries & Plotline

After a short hiatus, My Hero Academia will resume with chapter 373, the climax of the Mutant Discrimination arc. Spoilers suggest that now that the protestors have been put down, the chapter’s major conflict between Kurogiri and the heroes may commence. Readers of My Hero Academia might be surprised to see that Spinner and Present Mic view Kurogiri differently than they did before reading spoilers for chapter 373. In addition, we learn more about the league members’ perspectives on Tomura Shigaraki and their motivations.

Warning: this paragraph contains My Hero Academia Chapter 373 spoilers.
Spoilers for My Hero Academia 373 reveal that Spinner has been incapacitated, the Mutants have retreated, and Kurogiri has entered the fray. Shoji, under instructions from Present Mic in My Hero Academia Chapter 373, stands guard outside the hospital at the beginning of the chapter. The mutant from Chapter 372 intervenes to save Shoji from an attacker. The man claims he has been discriminated against his whole life, therefore he has always felt righteous in supporting Spinner’s campaign. But after hearing shoji’s speech, he now realises that even decent people would be hurt by the mutant Uprising.

Shoji retorts that the revolt has united everyone around a common cause and that they may now decide to put that unity to good use. PLF’s general’s efforts to halt them are futile as the mutant troops eventually surrender after realising the logic in Shoji’s comments. The police officers apologise for resorting to force to disperse the demonstrators, and they end up backing down. Within the medical facility, Present Mic is used to disable the gadget with the help of Shigaraki and AFO’s voices. When Spinner shrinks back to his regular size, he gets knocked down and can’t get back up from exhaustion.

But then one of Shigaraki’s relatives’ hands slips out of his shirt, and Spinner remembers that, despite his confusion as leader of the mutants, he was really only trying to protect Tomura. Meanwhile, Present Mic muses that Aizawa has been through so much pain that if Shirakumo is not going to revert back to his old self, then it is best if he is gone and stays as a good memory. Spinner gets up when he realises this and places a palm on Kurogiri’s face, pleading with him to help him save Tomura. Shirakumo’s characteristics are clearly seen as Kurogiri wakes. Once free, he says that he is the only one who can save Tomura Shigaraki and breaks free of his bonds.

Concluding Ideas
Spoilers for the upcoming My Hero Academia chapter 373 indicate that Kurogiri will be siding with the bad guys. Even though Tomura Shigaraki is in AFO’s care, it is fascinating to see how many people genuinely care about him and want to see him saved. This shows that others agree with Tomura that AFO’s plans are not in his best interest, including Spinner and Kurogiri. Keep in mind that Tomura is still a child; the members of the league should view him as a victim who needs special care because of the injustices he has suffered. However, Present Mic’s position on Kurogiri is made clear in My Hero Academia chapter 373. Mic’s concern for Aizawa’s mental health supersedes his desire to help Shirakumo find his way back to the light. Neither does he have as much faith in their late friend as Aizawa does?

Present Mic has every intention of killing Kurogiri if he turns his back on Shirakumo. With Kurogiri on AFO’s side, the voice hero’s commitment to the cause is now in question. Horikoshi, the mangaka of My Hero Academia, makes a strong case that every villain can be redeemed through understanding and empathy in chapter 373, thanks to Shoji’s impact on the mutants. Readers may question the viability of such blanket forgiveness after learning that Deku intends to save Shigaraki despite his atrocities. There is a strong reader consensus that the bad guys should get what they so richly deserve. What direction manga artist Horikoshi takes is still up in the air.
