The plot of Kingdom
The movie chronicles the lives of Xin and Pao, two people who hope for a brighter future while living through the bloody conflict era of China’s Warring State Period. Both of their parents were killed in the war, and now they must support themselves by working as maids in their small, impoverished hamlet. Despite the obstacles they faced in life, the pair dedicated their leisure time to martial arts practice. The orphans have the same goal: to one day become the Great Generals of the Heavens. But one day a preacher calls Pao away from hamlet, and he doesn’t return for many days. Sadly, Xin only gets to see him again while he is dying, and he passes away by his friend’s side.
Xin is left bewildered and enraged, but is reinspired to reclaim his title as “The Greatest General in Heavens.” When Xin first sees the man, he mistakes him for Pao, but it turns out that he is actually Ying Zheng. By supporting Ying Zheng, Xin is able to rein in his rage and make the difficult decision to seek revenge for Pao’s death. His obstacles will be severe, but he is strong in mind and spirit and will not be deterred by them.
Spoilers for Chapter 740 of the Kingdom
In Chapter 740, we see two main characters, Kanki and Riboku, playing cat and mouse as they inch closer to a showdown. The two have been close friends for a very long time and are well-familiar with one another. This makes it challenging to speculate on the contents of the next episode. Kanki has done his part to scare Riboku off, but he has also left a hidden message that suggests he will battle to the death if necessary. As soon as Riboku saw the tree of death with the message on it, he knew exactly what Kanki was thinking.
That’s why he didn’t recoil in horror at the sight of so much grotesquery; he had to keep moving forward for Qin’s sake. Since the manga has been running for nearly 16 years, these final chapters should mark the beginning of the end of the saga. Even though we already know how the story ends, it will still be interesting to see how the characters fare.

When it comes to fighting, the Monks of Sekirei have traditionally taken a neutral stance and done their utmost to avoid taking sides.
But the recent murder by the opposing camp had even them boiling over, and they poisoned the well from which they drank. Soldiers arrived, drank the water without thinking twice, and then got ready for battle. As soon as the Monks’ salvation was fully realised, the impact took effect, sealing their fate.
