Leaks of potential plot developments
The title of this issue, “Punk Records,” and the cover story have already been revealed in advance of the release of One Piece Chapter 1067. Caesar Clown’s apparent devotion to Germa 66 after he escaped from Totto Land is seen on the cover in a confrontation with Vinsmoke Judge. Further spoilers show that Vegapunk is a genius not just because of his innate intelligence but also because of his habitual consumption of Brain-Brain Fruit.
The enormous size of his brain is a direct result of the Devil Fruit he eats, which is probably a Paramecia or a Special Zoan. Spoilers for One Piece Chapter 1067 reveal immediately that the title alludes to the top half of Egghead within the egg. That the Brain-Brain Fruit can “take knowledge from Vegapunk’s brain and store it in the actual world” may be a reference to the above phrase. Luffy and his crew unearthed an old robot, and early hints indicate it was created in the Void Century. The fact that it “attacked the World Government” 200 years ago is also corroborated here, most likely by Vegapunk.
While the early previews give a little background for this assault, the real issue will likely provide more explanation. One Piece Chapter 1067 spoilers reveal CP0 landing on Egghead Island, where he says he is returning the Kuma Seraphim to Dr Vegapunk. However, they are turned away at the door, suggesting that someone in the World Government who shares Vegapunk’s views informed him of the group’s coming visit. Otherwise, there doesn’t seem to be a good reason for a World Government agency to be barred from entering a World Government island.
By the issue’s finale, the real Bartholomew Kuma, who has been hiding out on Kamabakka Island with Monkey D. Dragon and the Revolutionary Army, has gotten up and is on the run. This being the final scene of the issue, it’s probable that we won’t learn anything more about Kuma’s location. It’s likely that he’s already on Egghead Island given the date of the Straw Hats’ and CP0’s arrivals.
On Monday, November 14, 2022, spoilers for One Piece Chapter 1067 were made available, revealing a number of highly anticipated confirmations and developments. Near the end of the issue, the real Bartholomew Kuma sets out on a voyage, which seems to be setting up the storyline for a huge reunion-turned-conflict later on. Chapter 1067 of One Piece looks to be a continuation of last week’s big information dump, which included the unveiling of Vegapunk’s Devil Fruit and further development of the ancient robot. There was also an announcement that the series would be pausing the following week, therefore this issue serves as the final instalment for some time.
