“Takemichi finds his buddies to be well and alive in the current day, but Mikey, who hasn’t spoken to anybody in the group for 12 years, has started a rival gang called Bonten. Takemichi can no longer use Naoto to go back in time, but after stopping Mikey from jumping from a building, he finds himself in 2008.” The summary went on to say: “Now a senior in high school, Takemichi finds out that since the dissolution of the Tokyo Manji Gang, Rokuhara Tandai, Brahman, & Mikey’s new gang, the Kanto Manji Gang, have been engaged in a power struggle.
Takemichi joins Brahman, led by Senju Kawaragi, in order to find Mikey, and he unexpectedly has the power to foresee the future. The attack on Takemichi and Senju by Rokuhara Tandai occurs on July 7, 2008. Takemichi saves Senju from certain death, but Draken gives his life to defend them. Consequently, the three gangs get into a fight, and Mikey ends up murdering South, the leader of the Rokuhara Tandai, in what has become known as the Battle of the Three Deities. Eventually, the Kanto Manji Gang becomes dominant and absorbs the rival Rokuhara Tandai gang.
At the same time, Senju disbands Brahman to prevent Mikey from killing Takemichi. A month later, on September 9, Takemichi resurrects the Tokyo Manji Gang and issues a challenge to the rival Kanto Manji Gang. Sanzu tries to lure a train into the battlefield and into the crosshairs of the fighting to eliminate the Tokyo Manji Gang. In spite of Takemichi’s best efforts, Kakucho ultimately perishes. Taiju comes back and halts Sanzu, but Mikey easily dispatches everyone else on the battlefield. Mikey tells Takemichi that he perished in the previous timeline and that Shinichiro went back in time to save him by taking the ability from a homeless man he murdered.
Shinichiro’s death and Takemichi’s acquisition of his power were both consequences of the curse’s violent manifestations. As of right now, Takemichi is cool with Mikey giving in to his aggression and fighting him. Mikey fatally wounds Takemichi, but by holding his hand they are instantly transported back to 1998 with no recollection of what happened. Mikey and Takemichi eventually team together to stop the tragedies from happening and bring all the gangs in Japan together for eleven years, establishing a timeline in which there is peace in the country.”
