Mangaka Ken Wakui decides to conclude the entire series on a very divisive note with Tokyo Revengers chapter 278. Spoilers from the 11th indicate that not only is everyone in good condition, but they’re also all on friendly terms with Takemichi for reasons that aren’t explained. A time jump and a view of a chapel marked the conclusion of chapter 277. Spoilers for Chapter 278 of Tokyo Revenge reveal that this location is the setting for a wedding, attended by practically the whole cast. There’s a full-colour opening page and a full-colour double spread in the middle of this chapter. On the cover of issue 51 of Weekly Shonen Magazine is a full-colour spread showcasing the characters of Tokyo Revengers.
Potential plot twists for Tokyo Revenger’s Chapter 278
Spoilers for the next episode of Tokyo Revengers show the happy couple of Takemichi and Hinata being married to the sound of applause from the rest of the cast. Possible future events are revealed in Tokyo Revenger’s chapter 278. Mikey opens the chapter by reassuring Takemichi as the latter starts to become nervous about marrying Hinata. The chapter provides a rundown of the characters and what they’ll be up to in the new future as they get ready. The spoilers don’t give away everything, but they do offer some interesting details. Seishu assists Shinichiro in his bike shop, while Wakasa and Benkei operate a martial arts dojo. Spoilers don’t say much about Draken beyond the fact that he’s with Emma and chatting with Izana, who also hangs out with Kakucho.
For whatever reason, Terano South, along with the Haitani brothers Madarame, Muto, and Mochizuki, is there for the wedding. With Takeomi in attendance at the wedding, it appears that ties between the Akashi siblings have improved. Mitsuya, who designed Hinata’s wedding dress in Chapter 200, appears to be employed as a designer by the two youngest Shiba brothers. In chapter 278 of Tokyo Revengers, Taiju is not present at the wedding. Chifuyu, Baji’s best buddy, openly weeps during his wedding. They appear to be as close as they’ve always been. Kazutora is occasionally spotted with them.
Naoto Tachibana and Hajime Kokonoi stand out as the only characters in the final spread who aren’t named in the spoilers. Spoilers for Tokyo Revengers chapter 278 don’t involve the Mizo Middle Five group either. Takemichi and Hinata come down the steps after the ceremony to see their friends, and as they do so, the entire cast of the manga stands around waiting for them, marking the conclusion of the chapter and, by extension, the series. Amidst thunderous applause and Takemichi’s heartfelt appreciation to his friends, the last panel of the series depicts Hinata tossing a bouquet into the air.
In conclusion
Tokyo Revengers 278 is suspiciously silent on the whereabouts of the Mizo Middle Five group, who had vanished from the previous chapter as well. Atsushi is presumed to be alive and well in Takemichi’s life because he cut Hinata’s hair for the wedding and Mitsuya works in the same field. Now that Baji is still around, Chifuyu may pursue his ambition of becoming a pilot without worrying about the pet shop’s management. Having South there, and not knowing much more about Kokonoi, raises some issues. Because the Bonten arc never occurred, it is unknown if Koko and Inupi ever got over their traumatic past and made it up.
Some could argue that because they never experienced tragedy together in the first place, they never developed such deep friendships in the new timeline. The official translation, it is hoped, will provide readers with adequate responses to these concerns. Spoilers for Tokyo Revengers 278 also reveal that once the main series concludes, mangaka Wakui wants to publish an additional eight chapters telling the backstory of Toman’s founding members.
