The positive reception for the series finale, found in Tokyo Revengers chapter 277, has been divided. Not only does this chapter establish a new timeline for the whole series, but it also resurrects every character that has ever died. Mikey and Takemichi have started up a new branch of the Tokyo Manji Gang. With only one more chapter to go, Tokyo Revengers 277 is the series’ climax. Without a doubt, mangaka Ken Wakui preferred an upbeat ending to a downbeat one, even if some elements of this ending undo the development the characters underwent over the course of the series.
Tokyo Revenger Chapter 277 Spoilers
Mikey and Takemichi completely restart history in Tokyo Revengers Chapter 277.
At Last, is the title of chapter 277 in Tokyo Revenger. Once Mikey’s tears made contact with Takemichi’s skin, they both knew they had time-jumped. The two friends went back in time by ten years since Mikey didn’t want his friend to die and Takemichi wanted to give Mikey his powers. They’re overjoyed, think it’s a miracle, and go through the streets shouting.
Mikey inquires about Takemichi’s future intentions when they stop on a rooftop to view the sunset. Takemichi says he used to be lonely but is relieved to have Mikey around.
Following this, the pivotal events of the Tokyo Revengers series are covered in Chapter 277. In this version of events, Takemichi is one of Toman’s seven founders; he and Kisaki met through a mutual friend. In the end, Haruchiyo is accepted by Mikey and the rest of the group without ever receiving his scars. The Shiba children, Izana and Kakucho, as well as Shinichiro, Baji, Draken, Emma, and Kazutora, make it out alive. According to this story, the new Toman features an intriguing lineup thanks to the addition of the Black Dragons and Tenjiku gangs. Mikey’s global conquests with Takemichi by his side are at last a reality. Mikey also disbands Toman in this version, so by the time we get to Chapter 277 of Tokyo Revengers, it’s July 3, 2017—eleven years later. On the final page, a church bell may be heard ringing.
Observations
Without explicitly stating it, Tokyo Revenger’s chapter 277 suggests that Mikey’s tears and the two friends’ great desire to save each other may have had a role in the simultaneous time-leaping. Since Takemichi now seems to be Mikey’s best friend, their previous friendships and romantic interests will need to be rethought in light of this altered history.
Akane Inui is named along with every other character, however, it is never made explicit if they were successful in saving her. She probably didn’t make it because both Inui and Kokonoi had joined the Black Dragons in this timeline.
The absence of Seishu’s characteristic burn scar suggests that the home fire either never occurred or that Seishu and his sister were rescued in time. Either way, the canon timeline’s character growth for Koko and Inupi is probably going to be erased. It seems like the Mizo Middle Five, and Atsushi in particular, have been forgotten, much like Akane. In this picture, Takemichi is still wearing the necklace Hina gave him. Takemichi’s newfound friendship with Kisaki means no one will stand in the way of their budding romance. It is unknown, however, if Emma and Draken still end up falling in love in this era.
In terms of popularity, Shuji Hanma has been the biggest letdown for fans. He’s been made up to be this mysterious figure who may hold the key to saving time travel for everyone. Wakui, however, did not designate Hanma as a major player, and he ultimately served no greater purpose than that of any other supporting character. Things with his encounter with Kisaki in this new timeline must have been different, but Tokyo Revengers chapter 277 doesn’t go into detail on how or why.
Consensus and Remarks
Church setting for the final scene of Tokyo Revenger’s Chapter 277. There is a good likelihood it will be Pah-wedding, Chin’s like it was at the start of the Bonten arc. Another possibility is the wedding that was never held between Draken and Emma or the one that was cut short between Takemichi and Hina. In any case, chapter 278 is the next stop for fans as they count down to the series’ conclusion.
