In the previous chapter of Tokyo Revengers, Mikey firmly grasps Takemichy’s hand and urges him to get up. But when Takemichy opened his eyes, he found himself in the past, with no idea how he got there. Takemichy can tell something is off by looking at his new two-tone hair and clothes. Awoke to his alarm, he gets out of bed and realises he has to verify the date. When Takemichy saw the date and year, he couldn’t believe it was already 1998. As though he were running late to class, he runs to the bathroom and jumps in the shower. Takemichy doubts that it is indeed him because of the drastic changes in his appearance. Takemichy recognises himself in the reflection and thinks back to first grade. He also recalls the final moments he spent with Mickey. Takemichy is extremely behind since he is in the future and is currently in the first grade.
In a similar vein, Takemichy experienced a premortal epiphany that let him understand how young he was. After realising he is running late, he rushes to the kitchen to grab some breakfast. Takemichy eventually shows up at Mickey’s house and knocks on the door. When the strange man enters, he wonders who the heck the bell-ringing brat might be. Since he doesn’t recognise Takemichy, he wonders why he’s in Mickey’s residence. That guy admits he’s going to severely hurt Takemichy. It’s inconceivable to Takemichi that Baji would forget about him. Baji doesn’t understand why Takemichi was staring at him so intently.
Takemichi knows Baji doesn’t say much, so he won’t think twice about punching him. Assuming that Takemichy wants to fight, Baji slams him with a powerful right. Morning flights are avoided after Emma’s arrival and a request to Baji to calm down. Upon rising, Takemichi sees that Mickey’s companions are trickling in one by one. As they converse, an odd man who is smoking what seems like pot joins them. Takemichiy has a sudden epiphany: he recognises the man. The man smoking what looks like cannabis is actually Shinichiro, he thinks. When Haru and Chiyo show up there, Shinichiro asks Baji what’s up with him. Hearing Sanzu’s voice made Takemichy happy. A puzzled Shinichiro inquires of Manjiro as to the cause of his tardy morning awakening. Takemichy had a sudden epiphany: he time travelled and he knew it. Baji, Shinichiro, and Emma stoop before Takemichy, and Baji demands to know who the cowardly brat is.

Takemichy believes that by fighting Mickey, he may finally make Mickey see him for who he really is, and so he dares Mickey to a duel. There were no warning signs for Mickey that something terrible was going to occur. When Manjiro saw that Takemichy couldn’t possibly beat Mickey, he also questioned Takemichy’s motives. Many members of the gang or Mickey’s buddies perished while attempting to free Mickey from the curse. In contrast, Takemichy’s death had an impact on everyone, who wept when they learned of Takemichy’s great sacrifice in order to free Mickey from the curse. Mickey was also shocked since no one had anticipated such a sacrifice from Takemichy, but he overheard a discussion about altering the course of history and became hopeful. When Takemichy claimed he would do it again and again until things started writing, nobody understood what he was talking about.
Consequently, Takemichy’s life will soon go on a new path as he makes plans to visit the past in an effort to free Mickey from the curse. Mickey learns the tragic news that Takemichy’s death was no joke. By shaking Takemichy’s wounded body, he implores the latter to regain consciousness.
