The sixth episode of Blue Lock will air on TV Asahi on Sunday, November 13, 2022, at 1:30 am JST. Crunchyroll will host the episode for streaming across the world, with the exception of a few regions where Netflix will host the anime instead. With Isagi’s goal in the previous episode, the contest between Team Z and Team Y was over. Meanwhile, we learnt that Chigiri had had an ACL injury that had prevented him from playing to his full ability and had caused him to reevaluate his professional goals.

Episode 6 of Blue Lock: What to Expect?
In the sixth episode of Blue Lock, Yoichi Isagi and Team Z are ready to face Team W. Although it has not been confirmed whether or not the match will begin in episode 6, Isagi, as Team Z’s best player, is likely to play a significant role in the upcoming episode. Isagi scored the game-winning goal in episode 5 against Team Y, contributing to the team’s comeback victory. Furthermore, we learnt that Chigiri had suffered an ACL tear. His desire to play is tempered by his fear of further injury, and he thus anticipates leaving the Blue Lock Project as soon as possible. However, in the fifth episode’s closing minutes, he seemed to take inspiration from Isagi as well.
Just what occurred the last time? (Recap)
In episode 5 of Blue Lock, titled “To Be Reborn,” the duel between Team Z and Team Y resumed after Gagamaru’s equaliser in episode 4. When Team Y piled on the pressure in the waning seconds, Isagi made it a point to man-mark Niko. Isagi successfully broke up Niko’s final pass to Ohkawa and promptly jumped on the counterattack he had begun. The ball was transferred by Bachira into the penalty area, and everyone expected it to go to Gagamaru.
However, Gagamaru failed to connect with the pass, and Isagi scored on the next opportunity. Even though Team Z had already won, Isagi took pride in having been the one to eliminate their opponent. Later, Chigiri guided Isagi in determining his unique skill set, one of which was the ability to “smell a goal.” Isagi found out that Chigiri had injured his ACL, but Chigiri was reluctant to discuss the incident. Later, Team Z found out that their next opponents would be Team W and saw the updated Blue Lock rankings, where Isagi was placed top among his comrades, inspiring them to work harder as Chigiri watched from a distance.
