Speculations
Readers of My Hero Academia may be certain that further examination of Spinner’s painful and isolating history is in the works, as revealed in chapter 372 of the series. The man is a victim of AFO and his own need to be a hero, but his criticisms of the heroes’ passivity are well-taken. Another example of this is the police’s willingness to open fire on Mutant criminals. The physicians presumably think the chamber they’ve sealed off is crucial in the grand scheme of things. It is intriguing that Kurogiri only answers to Tomura’s or AFO’s voice, yet it is still unknown what role he plays in AFO’s intentions. Shirakumo may be able to be reached from within Kurogiri using Present Mic if the method involves a specific frequency.
Spoilers for Chapter 372 of My Hero Academia not only disclose more information about how the Central Hospital squad was chosen, but also reveal some background information on Kouda and Spinner. As the antagonists on both sides storm the hospital, Kurogiri’s significance to them becomes clearer than ever. The tragic events of Shoji’s history were revealed in Chapter 371, as was his heroic deed of saving a drowning youngster. The incident further demonstrated how AFO has eroded Spinner’s free will and turned him into a mindless tool for his scheme. My Hero Academia chapter 372 will supposedly be named “Naked,” according to spoilers.
Warnings for content through My Hero Academia Chapter 372
Spoilers for My Hero Academia 372 hint at the history of Spinner and Kouda as the mutants question their motivations. Spoilers for My Hero Academia Chapter 372 state that the big civilian lady had notified Koda and Shoji of the mutant attack on Central hospital, prompting them to request that Aizawa and All Might be sent to that squad. Aizawa requested Present Mic accompany him to Central Hospital after realising the villains had seen through the lies they had concocted. Present-day Mic thinks that Shoji and Kouda are more powerful than he and his two pals were when they were teenagers because of their dogged persistence.
In another recollection, we learn that Kouda’s father is not a mutant, but that he stood up for his horned-looking wife when others made fun of her. Kouda was comforted by his mother’s promises that he, too, would develop horns, which would only serve to highlight his unique personality. While Kouda goes for the PLF General with Hitchcock Buzz, Shoji strikes Spinner with Octo Expansion. In light of Ayoyama’s predicament, Shoji inquires Spinner and the rest of the mutants as to whom they feel most compelled to provide protection. He states once again that this assault will escalate hostility toward mutants.
In another recollection, we learn that the locals scarred Shoji for saving the little girl. Spinner, recalling the time he was alone, retorts that even if the heroes triumph, nothing will change. Together with the assembled mutants, he charges through the hospital’s cinderblock walls. Mutants follow their leader, prompting cops to pull guns. Within the hospital, a group of medical professionals barricade a room, leading a mutant to assume that they must be attending to a patient inside. Meanwhile, Spinner recalls AFO asking him to play a voice tape of Tomura or AFO to rouse the nomu and find Kurogiri in the research tower. Spinner needs Kurogiri for his scheme, and if he can get him, Tomura will consider him a hero.
Spinner keeps walking forward despite the fact that he has no followers. Spinner has always been a loner, and the image of him as a young man jogging alone emphasises this point. Mic shows up in the here and now to break the bad news that Shoji’s speech has gotten everyone up and out of the building, and that Spinner has no chance of winning under these circumstances. My Hero Academia chapter 372 concludes with Spinner and Present Mic yelling “Kurogiri” and “Shirakumo,” respectively, as they run towards the tower.
