Is GoDaddy hosting good?

It’s easy to decide that your business needs an online presence, but far more challenging to choose the ideal web hosting service. GoDaddy, one of the largest providers of domain names, also happens to be an excellent web host that gives you all the tools you need to set up a website quickly. Although the service’s well-rounded packages are less comprehensive than those provided by Hostgator, DreamHost, 1&1 Ionos, & other Editors’ Choice picks, it still has many appealing and practical features that you might find valuable, especially if you want to integrate Microsoft Office 365 email and apps. If you do not want to spend a lot of money on web hosting, shared hosting is your best bet. As part of a group of websites shared across a server, yours will be hosted at a low cost.

Your website does, in fact, share server resources with other users, as indicated by the tier’s name. Because of this, it’s clear that it’s not the best web host available. The websites hosted on a shared server must vie with one another for resources like processing power and data storage space. Dedicated or virtual private server (VPS) hosting provides additional hosting capabilities and is recommended if you expect high traffic volumes or want to defend against traffic spikes. GoDaddy provides a wide variety of Linux and Windows-based shared web servers, and for contracts longer than a year, they toss in a free domain name.

Economy basic shared hosting, for example, provide one website with 100GB of storage, 512MB of RAM, unlimited monthly data transfers, & one free year of Office 365 Starter Email. Monthly payments of $10.99 are required for this plan, with a discount of $6.99 per month available for those who commit to a full year of service. Microsoft’s standard email package only allows for one account, however adding more can be done for a fee. Check out the options under Email Hosting down below for more information. The Deluxe plan ($12.99/month or $9.99/month for a 12-month plan) is an upgrade from the Economy package and has unlimited storage and domains.

For an additional $19.99 monthly, or $14.99 monthly over a year, you can upgrade to the Ultimate plan, which includes twice the processing power, 1 GB of RAM, unlimited databases, and a one-year Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificate. For an additional $28.99 a month (or $22.99 a month for a 12-month plan), you may upgrade to our Maximum plan, which enhances your server’s I/O speed from 1,024 KB/sec-2,048 KB/sec, doubles your RAM to 2 GB, and gives you free, unlimited SSLs for all of the websites on your plan.

Although GoDaddy provides substantial shared hosting packages, PCMag’s Editors’ Choice for shared web hosting remains HostGator. Similar to GoDaddy, HostGator provides unlimited domains, unlimited monthly data transfers, and a choice of Linux or Windows-based servers. However, HostGator excels over its opponent by giving unlimited storage and bandwidth with all plans.

Pros of GoDaddy Hosting – Excellent Performance
It should come as no surprise that GoDaddy performs a superb job supplying its users with the high-quality performance considering the sheer quantity of resources at their disposal.
Given that their annual wealth exceeds the GDP of numerous underdeveloped nations
GoDaddy maintains a decent uptime of 99.95%, which is just what you expect from a cheap server, even if they don’t provide jaw-dropping uptimes like some of their rivals (notably, SiteGround) (namely, SiteGround).

I’m glad to inform you that we didn’t have any severe crashes or noticeable downtime throughout our time as GoDaddy clients, even if they won’t earn any plaudits for their uptimes. Website speeds are important, despite what your mother and other online virgins have told you. A lot. In fact, according to recent research, almost 47% of consumers expect sites to load in 2 seconds or less. How about if it doesn’t? Hello, revenue.

If you ever want to generate money from your website, choosing the ideal web host will be among your most critical considerations. Although none of these features or services is free, GoDaddy makes every attempt to offer every new client the ability to establish a great and effective website with the least amount of effort.
