Warning: contains spoilers through My Hero Academia: Chapter 372
Warning: this paragraph contains spoilers for My Hero Academia, Chapter 372. Spoilers for My Hero Academia Chapter 372 reveal that the giant civilian lady had told Koda and Shoji about the mutant raid on Central hospital, prompting them to ask for Aizawa and All Might to be placed on that team. Aizawa invited Present Mic to accompany him to Central Hospital after realising that the villains had seen through the lies they had spread. Present-day Mic thinks that Shoji and Kouda are more resilient than he and his two pals were when they were teenagers because of their dogged persistence.
During another flashback, Kouda learns that his father is not a mutant, but that he stood up for his horned wife when she was teased about her appearance. Momma Kouda told her son that he, too, would grow horns one day and that they would only add to his uniqueness. As Kouda uses Hitchcock Buzz on the PLF General, Shoji uses Octo Expansion on Spinner. Keeping Ayoyama’s predicament in mind, Shoji inquires of Spinner and the rest of the mutants as to whom they feel obligated to defend given their own unique traits.
He states once more that this assault will increase hostility toward mutants. In another recollection, we learn that Shoji got that scar when the people punished him for saving the little girl. Spinner, recalling the time he was alone, argues that even if the heroes triumph, nothing will change. The mutant leader then orders the assembled mutants to follow him as he charges through the hospital’s reinforced concrete walls. The cops are forced to use force as the mutants follow their commander and attack. Doctors and nurses barricade a room in the hospital, leading a mutant to assume that they must be attending to a patient inside.
Spinner, meantime, recalls AFO asking him to play a tape of Tomura’s or AFO’s voice to rouse the nomu from his slumber in the research tower, where Kurogiri is said to be hiding. Spinner needs Kurogiri to succeed with his scheme, and doing so would make him Tomura’s hero. Spinner presses on but soon discovers that he is being left behind. Spinner has always been a loner, and the image of him as a young man jogging alone emphasises this point. Eventually, Present Mic shows in to break the bad news to Spinner that Shoji’s speech has gotten everyone up and out of the building. My Hero Academia chapter 372 concludes with Spinner and Present Mic yelling “Kurogiri” and “Shirakumo,” respectively, as they run towards the tower.
Speculations
Readers of My Hero Academia may be certain that further examination of Spinner’s painful and isolating history is in the works, as revealed in chapter 372 of the series. Although the guy is being influenced by AFO and his want to become a hero, his criticisms of the heroes’ passivity are valid. The police’s willingness to use guns against Mutants is another evidence of this. The physicians must think this room is crucial to something in the long term if they’ve blocked access to it. It’s intriguing that Kurogiri only answers to Tomura’s or AFO’s voice, but exactly what role he plays in AFO’s intentions is still up in the air. The only way Present Mic can communicate with Shirakumo while he is imprisoned in Kurogiri is if the method involves the correct frequency.
