[Updated] Spoilers for My Hero Academia chapter 370 Latest Raw Scans, Storyline, Summaries & What to Expect in this Chapter

Chapter 370 of My Hero Academia was released only a few hours ago, continuing the struggle against AFO and his followers. The focus of the chapter shifted away from Deku and AFO’s battle and towards Spinner and Shoji. The chapter may not have had as much action as others, but it did provide readers with more information on the injustices that exist in Hero Society. In the previous week’s instalment, we saw Deku give AFO a taste of his own medicine by unleashing OFA’s full might. The antagonist’s anger grew as he declared Spinner to be the decisive factor in his triumph. Chapter 370 of My Hero Academia revealed the tragic histories of Spinner and Shoji, both of whom were bullied and harassed because of the way they looked. Chapter 370 of My Hero Academia details the mutants’ attack on Jaku’s hospital.

Events in the last chapter (Recap)
In the opening moments of My Hero Academia chapter 369, we had a flashback of the Second User’s battle with AFO. The Symbol of Evil in the current day was taken aback by the growing strength of the Second’s Quirk. Deku harmed AFO significantly by using this skill and the other OFA abilities. The bad guy griped about the combat being unfair before unleashing nine eerie lights.

Mutants’ Uprising
Spinner’s history was revealed in a flashback at the beginning of My Hero Academia chapter 370. The man who looks like a reptile was bullied severely as a child. His neighbours in his native town used to avoid him at all costs and even hurt him when they could. They even went as far as saying that no matter how much society advances, he would never be welcome in their house. A narrator informed the audience that the events of the chapter occurred just before Dabi was defeated when the flashback ended. The news that Kurogiri was being detained in Jaku’s Central Hospital reached AFO. Since Kurogiri was his finest work, he absolutely had to have access to the Nomu. To free the bartender, the Symbol of Evil despatched Spinner and a legion of 15,000 criminals and mutants.

The mic was attempting to arrest the citizens without inflicting serious harm on them. The mutants, however, were willing to give their lives for the cause and repelled his assaults. In the back, behind Mic, a mutant with wings sprang out, pitchfork in hand, ready to stab the Hero to death. Luckily, a flock of birds flew in at the perfect moment and rescued him.
Koda, in charge of the flock, concerned for his teacher’s well-being, inquired about it. Mic expressed his appreciation to the young man before inquiring about Shoji. Koda said they became split up during the assault. The police in the area were desperately fighting to hold back the rioters, but they were vastly outnumbered.

Only around 200 people, including police and Heroes, were guarding Jaku’s Hospital. There were a lot of mutants around Rock Lock, and they all wanted to murder the Hero. The demonstrators insisted that no one with a human appearance could possibly feel what they were going through. When the other mutants saw Koda, they sprinted at him, intent on killing him. One of the mutants hushed Koda when he requested them to stop by labelling him a traitor to his kind.

Documentation from the mutant collective
In the continuation of My Hero Academia, chapter 370, a member of the Paranormal Liberation Front addresses his fellow mutants. The guy asserted that eventually, his people will be free from society’s ill effects. He thought back on the horrible things that had been done to mutants in the past. As examples, he mentioned the 6/6 event and the Great Jedi Purge. He claims that the sole rationale given by those who took part in the atrocities was fear of mutants. The heroes of Hero Society carried on as if nothing had occurred, as if they were oblivious to the suffering they had caused the mutant race.

It was acknowledged by the guy that progressive social change was taking place in the world’s major cities. Mutants were treated as equals inside the city, and some even held positions of power like Nezu and the Chief of Police. As unfortunate as it may be, the persecution of mutants persisted in rural areas. The villain removed his mask, revealing a face covered with wounds, giving him an insect appearance. The antagonist continued his rant by claiming that the heroes’ shining example never made it through to their sleepy villages. Mic and Rock Lock weren’t mutant heroes because they were weak. Instead, they placed all their hope in Spinner. Many of the protesters were waving banners that included the image of Spinner.

Shoji shows up
In the next chapter of My Hero Academia, an enormous Spinner was seen strolling the streets of the city while carrying a massive blade. Before the battle, it was revealed that AFO had given him more Quirks, which had rendered him unstable and unpredictable. It was clear to the man, even if his mind was racing, that he had to go get Kurogiri. Spinner was about to use his blade to slash through a squad of cops when Shoji intervened. Using his Octo Blow, the young Hero brought the bad guy crashing into the earth. The angry mutants who had been surrounding Spinner attacked Shoji, calling him a traitor.

There were too many rioters for the small youngster to take any meaningful action in retaliation. Not deterred, he initiated a conversation with them. If they wanted equality, he questioned, why did they strike a hospital? The young Hero then pointed out to the rioters that the first thing the Heroes did in the first conflict was to save the civilians. Shoji probed his attackers, inquiring as to whether or not they had a strategy to protect the defenceless. The final panel of My Hero Academia chapter 370 showed an unmasked, enraged Shoji.

As a conclusion
Chapter 370 of My Hero Academia wasn’t as exciting as the last few chapters, but it was still crucial. While the Hero Commission would have you believe otherwise, Hero Society is far from ideal. The people most aware of this reality are mutants and people with “villainous” Quirks. This has been brought up multiple times during the series, but it has never been the focus of its own episode. The show has to go more into this theme before its conclusion, as moving past hatred is essential to building a better society. Let’s hope that in subsequent episodes, the show treats the subject with the gravity it requires.
