Wolf Like Me star Josh Gad has stated that filming on Season 2 of the Peacock series has concluded, giving fans something to be excited about. Gad posted the announcement and numerous photos of him with other members of the cast and crew on Instagram, giving his followers a glimpse behind the scenes. Isla Fisher, Ariel Joy Donoghue, and Anthony Taufa all appear in the shots, which were taken both on-site and, presumably, in Adelaide, Australia. The series creator, Abe Forsythe (Little Monsters), is shown here with his COVID safety mask on, working on the production between shots. Gad teases future characters we may expect to see this time around mixed in with the personalities and themes we’ve grown to know by saying that the upcoming season will have numerous more “great cast additions.”
Gad praised Forsythe and promised that viewers of the filmmaker and series creator’s next chapter were “ready for a crazy journey.” Made Up Stories, the show’s producers, and executive producers Jodi Matterson and Bruna Papandrea also earned praise. Gary, a widower, was the protagonist of the first season of the grim and gory comedy (Gad). Gary, still mourning the death of his wife and trying to find his footing as a single parent, develops an unexpectedly deep relationship with Mary (Fisher). At first glance, Mary appears like a fantastic catch; but, there is a far larger catch associated with dating her: she is a werewolf. Gary’s life, and that of his daughter Emma (Donoghue), is turned upside down when they learn Mary’s truth.
When the three go on a journey into the heart of Australia’s outback, things go more than a little awry, and the season one finale is shockingly violent. Season 1 ended on a cliffhanger, with viewers wondering what would happen next in the key characters’ relationships when Emma found out Mary’s secret in Season 2. In late April, it was revealed that the series has been renewed for a second season at Peacock, suggesting that production will soon return to picturesque Australia.
We can’t wait to see what stories Forsythe tells beneath the full moon this time around, especially after Season 1’s numerous connections between reality and the supernatural beast plot. Look at the trailer for Season 1 of Wolf Like Me, which is available on Peacock, and then read Gad’s piece. Season 2 has yet to be scheduled for release, but it looks like Gad will be keeping fans informed through Instagram.
