The star of Schitt’s Creek, Dan Levy, is launching a new, family-friendly culinary show next month. The show, titled The Big Brunch, will include dishes and restaurants that are as yet unknown to the general public. As the launch date draws near, HBO Max has released the series’ official trailer. In the opening scene of the video, Levy addresses the question “why brunch?” by outlining the premise of the competition programme. There are ten chefs competing, and he introduces them to the audience while he talks.
Having such a wide variety of participants gives viewers an idea of the show’s style and tone before they ever tune in. Unlike other culinary competition series, the chefs in this one are encouraged to form genuine relationships with one another, the judges, and the viewers at home. Even if you can’t eat the food, the video shows that the series has a welcoming environment that will make you feel like you’re a part of the action. The kitchen is open and airy, with lots of light and cheerful colours. It’s friendly and open, and it doesn’t put too much emphasis on the pressures of rivalry. Judges Levy, Sohla El-Wally, and Will Guidara all keep a positive outlook.
Their upbeat attitude and supportive words to the candidates add to the show’s newfound laid-back vibe. The Big Brunch, hosted by Levy, is a cooking competition show that features contestants from all around the country in an effort to highlight regional and ethnic cuisines. There will be ten chefs competing for a $300,000 reward to aid them in their future careers. Throughout the course of the presentation, the chefs will have several opportunities to speak about their backgrounds and inspirations for their cuisine.
The show “serves up the next generation of success stories in American food” and revolves “around one of the most flexible, but undervalued eating experiences.” Levy writes and serves as executive producer for the show. The show’s exec producers are Andrew Fried, Dane Lillegard, Sarina Roma, and Faye Stapleton. Both Emmy-winning production firm Boardwalk Pictures (Welcome to Wrexham, Chef’s Table, Cheer) and Emmy-nominated director/writer/producer/director/writer/director Shawn Levy’s Not A Real Production Company are responsible for the series. On Thursday, November 10, HBO Max will debut the first three episodes of The Big Brunch. After that, on November 17, there will be three more episodes, and on November 24, there will be two more.
