The 50th Annual Saturn Awards Will Be Hosted by Joel McHale

Actor and comedian Joel McHale, known for his roles on The CW’s Stargirl and the critically acclaimed sitcom Community, will host the 50th annual Saturn Awards, the official award ceremony given by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror. Held at the L.A. The greatest in science fiction, fantasy, and horror will be recognised at the 2022 Saturn Awards, which will be held at the Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel in Burbank, California. The event’s rich history dates back to 1972.

The Saturn Awards, presented by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror, is co-produced by Electric Entertainment and will be broadcast live on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, on the Electric Entertainment app and online at ElectricNOW. This year’s award show will be streamed in its entirety, and that includes exclusive interviews with the winners, as well as coverage from the red carpet and backstage. McHale is most known for his role as Pierce Brosnan on the NBC comedy Community, which will soon have a movie announced to complete the show’s long-awaited “six seasons and a movie” at Peacock.

His other appearances include Starman on Stargirl and a recurrent part on the critically acclaimed FX and Hulu series The Bear. The new Fox comedy series Animal Control will include him as a main cast member. Dean Devlin, CEO of Electric Entertainment, said
It’s a match made in heaven to have Joel McHale present the Saturn Awards. This phenomenal performer’s scathing wit and comedy are a fitting tribute to the Saturn Awards’ longstanding reputation as Hollywood’s most lighthearted and irreverent ceremony. He is a perfect fit as host for the Academy and ElectricNOW’s 50th-anniversary honours.

The Academy President Robert Holguin and Saturn producers Bradley and Kevin Marcus added, “Stay tuned as there will also be several more surprises in the coming days. We are so excited to be bringing back the Saturns this year, and to help celebrate and honour the many talented people who worked so hard to entertain us all during one of the most difficult times in history.” Some of the biggest names in the film will be there to celebrate McHale’s achievement, including directors and actors like Guillermo del Toro, Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould, Dave Filoni, Matt Reeves, Shane Black, and Nicholas Meyer (Star Trek: The Next Generation). On October 25, 2022, you may watch the Saturn Awards live on Electric Entertainment’s app or at ElectricNOW.
