Nope, Jordan Peele’s third neo-western picture, adds to his already impressive body of work as a director by showcasing him at his most expansive and inventive. For those who haven’t watched it before or who want to see it again, the horror sci-fi picture will be available for streaming on Peacock exclusively beginning November 18. This announcement was made by Universal Pictures. Peacock will also direct a new documentary on the making of the film, which will include interviews with the cast and crew as well as footage from behind the scenes. The Oscar-winner director has established quite a reputation for the impressive body of work he has produced.
Horror fans have put a lot of confidence in Peele after seeing Get Out and Us, and he did not let them down with Nope. The ranch is run by O.J. and Emerald Haywood, who has taken over the business when their father, Otis Haywood Sr., dies under strange circumstances. When their father, Otis, passed away suddenly, his children were left to shoulder his remaining duties, chief among them being a precarious financial situation.
However, the proprietor of Jupiter’s Claim, a family-friendly theme park and petting zoo, attempts to profit from the mysterious and ominous happenings that the siblings uncover above the clouds, which will soon throw the scenario into an even more chaotic trajectory.
Frankenstein, Werewolf of London, The Birds, Night of the Living Dead, The Thing, The Blair Witch Project, Saw, Drag Me to Hell, The Black Phone, and Halloween Ends are just a few examples of the fantastic horror collection available at Peacock.
Therefore, it should come as no great shock that the streaming service has included Nope in its library of classic horror films. After working together on the psychological horror thriller Get Out (2017), Jordan Peele and Daniel Kaluuya rejoin Us. Keke Palmer (Hustlers) and Steven Yeun (The Walking Dead) join Daniel Kaluuya in the ensemble cast (The Walking Dead). Terry Notary (The Square), Devon Graye (I Don’t Feel at Home in this World Anymore), Donna Mills (Knots Landing), Eddie Jemison (Ocean’s 11), and Wrenn Schmidt all make appearances in the popular horror film (Euphoria). Not only did Peele write and direct Nope, but he also produced it with Ian Cooper (Candyman), Robert Graf (The Tragedy of Macbeth), and Win Rosenfeld (Wendell & Wild).
On November 18, Nope will premiere on Peacock with no other streaming platforms.
