Eida and Code have been getting a lot of attention in the most recent chapters of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations by Ukyo Kodachi and Masashi Kishimoto, especially after it was announced in chapter 73 that Eida and Daemon were going to live together with Boruto and Kawaki. Eida was eager to help the Hidden Leaf Village if she could get closer to Kawaki, the object of her affection. Amado sends a message to Team 7 and Sumire, and Shikamaru delivers it in chapter 73. Anyone who came within range of Eida’s Senrigan became enchanted, but Otsutsukis were immune.
Since Shikamaru is concerned about Eida and Daemon’s safety while they are in Konoha, he devises a plan to have Kawaki and Boruto remain with them. However, when Eida finally arrived in Konoha in Chapter 74, readers noticed something strange: her strength didn’t seem to have any effect on Sarada. According to the events in chapter 74 of Boruto, it appears that Sarada may have some sort of resistance to Eida’s Senrigan. Chapter 74 of Boruto detailed Eida’s arrival at Konoha alongside Daemon and Amado. Sai and the other passengers on the train were enchanted by her charms when she decided to greet Shikamaru upon exiting the station.
She slung Daemon upon her back and took off for her new home. Sarada, Mitsuki, and the rest of Team 10 all caught a glimpse of her as she landed on the penthouse level. Chou-Chou began to perspire heavily due to his and Inojin’s intense attraction to her. They both started gushing about her attractiveness. Mitsuki, too, fell under Eida’s spell, albeit it took longer for him to flush at the sight of her. At the same time, Shikadai was unable to get a good look at her and was thus immune to her spell.
Sarada, on the other hand, could see her plainly and was unimpressed. Does it imply Sarada can’t be enchanted by Eida? It’s possible that Sarada’s ancestry makes her resistant to Eida’s Senrigan. Sarada has an inherent advantage in genjutsu due to the fact that she is an Uchiha. So it’s possible that Sarada has been conditioned by Sasuke’s training to resist any form of enchantment, whether it be genjutsu or the use of visual prowess. In light of reports that Eida can’t choose which people her ability impacts, it’s possible that it’s locked in automatically. Her allure can cause a wide range of symptoms, from mild infatuation to severe headaches, vertigo, impaired judgement, fever, and stiffened muscles.
It was strange that Sarada was unaffected by her presence, given that everyone else who saw her did so. Sarada’s Uchiha bloodline might explain why she didn’t feel the effects of Eida’s Senrigan. The Uchiha clan is descended from Hagoromo Otsutsuki’s firstborn son, Indra. Uchiha has the Sharingan, also known as Hagoromo’s Eyes, because of this. Sarada’s ancestry in the Otsutsuki clan may have protected her from Eida’s Senrigan. That she and other Byakugan-wielders like her father Sasuke Uchiha and the Hyuga family could be protected from Eida’s abilities in future chapters is a major boon for Konoha. That said, this is just conjecture at this point.
New Updates for Chapter 74
Spoilers for Boruto Chapter 74 revealed that Eida and Daemon had finally arrived in Konoha, marking the beginning of Team 7’s new operation. However, fans’ reactions to their presence were divided, largely because of how adults responded to a little girl’s enchanting skills. A huge spoiler about her age may have been revealed in chapter 74, changing not just how readers see the characters but also the course of the story.

In previous volumes of the Boruto manga, Eida’s age was never revealed; instead, it was just implied that, because of her Senrigan, she is able to see everything that has ever happened in the world, from the time of her birth to the present. Eida made it plain that she would not reveal her age after being introduced in chapter 57. Her admission that she didn’t learn the voice command that would allow Code to remove the restraints Amado had put in his body suggests that she was made after Code’s limiters had already been installed. It was deduced from this that Eida was likely the same age as or somewhat younger than Code, who was estimated to be in his late teens or early twenties.
Kawaki, all of fourteen years old, wears the numeral IX to signify that she is the ninth specimen Jigen collected on his quest to develop the ideal Otsutsuki vessel. Code, designated as VI because of its status as the sixth doomed ship, is unquestionably older than Kawaki, whose exact age remains a mystery. Boruto chapter 74, however, after Eida’s chat with Konohamaru, entirely disproves this hypothesis. She analyses Konohamaru with her Senrigan, calls him “Konohamaru-chan,” and says seeing him is like seeing an old friend from childhood.
Her description of him as a “childhood buddy” implies that she is able to access his younger self through her Senrigan. When you consider that Konohamaru is 27 years old in the anime, it’s possible that Eida is also in her late 20s and not a youngster like Kawaki and Boruto.
The Importance of It
Age has a major impact on Eida’s relevance to the plot of the series. While her omniscience is useful for reconnaissance missions, Amado’s experiments stand to benefit greatly from her capacity to peer into the past, at least to some degree. Since Amado is still one of the least-explored characters, learning more about his backstory will help clarify his motivations, especially in regard to fixing and activating Kawaki’s karma. The nature of Eida’s abilities and her fascination with Kawaki, along with the mystery of her age, became a problematic matter in terms of reading the Boruto series.
For many fans, the fact that she is a cyborg makes her age unimportant, therefore it is not as shocking as it may seem that adults would be profoundly touched by her ability. Some fans, however, think that if Kawaki turns out to be about the same age as Konohamaru, Eida’s affection for her would become a major issue. If Eida is closer to Kawaki’s age and a minor, then it is also improper to represent adults blushing and stuttering when speaking to her.

The Boruto series’ depiction of Eida is consistent with her ability to charm everyone she meets, with the exception of her family and the Otsutsukis. Sarada’s depiction on the cover of chapter 73 is the most recent example of the series being attacked for the over-s*xualization of minor characters. All that remains to be seen is how the manga and series handle this divisive figure once the issue of Eida’s age is eventually addressed.
