Summary and highlights of Boruto Chapter 74
The arrival of Eida in Konoha
Mitsuki appeared on the cover of this month’s Chapter 74, which was titled Baptism by Fire. Eida rode into Konoha with Daemon on her back at the beginning of the chapter. They were greeted by Shikamaru, Sai, and another shinobi at the station. However, Eida’s ability had an instant impact on Sai and the other shinobi. Even though Shikamaru extended a traditional greeting, Eida went straight to the point, revealing that she was aware of their objectives. She found the idea of sharing a home with the Otsutsuki vessels to be interesting and agreed to move in with them.
Eida declined Sai’s invitation to accompany her to her home because she knew the way there on her own, and Sai, who had regained some measure of control over himself, volunteered to accompany them. In Chapter 74, we saw that Eida can fly, as she carried Daemon aloft over the station and continued on to her objective. Amado made the offhand statement that Otsutsuki were prone to flight and that it wasn’t out of the question that Boruto and Kawaki might get the ability to fly as well. It was Shikamaru who confronted Amado, demanding that he finally spill the beans.
Kawaki and Boruto argue
The Otsutsuki ships relaxed in their new living room as the chapter moved on to Eida’s and their new quarters in chapter 74. Boruto remarked that he was surprised by how great the location was, given that they had only recently decided on the assignment. As Konohamaru freely stated, they had to use their influence to get the land. Kawaki seemed annoyed by the small talk and reprimanded his partner for not taking the assignment seriously. The blonde ninja said that they couldn’t afford to remain on edge since they had to stay still until they received new instructions.
Konohamaru scolded them for arguing, saying that they needed to stop bickering and learn to work together with Eida if they wanted to succeed in their objective. When Kawaki saw Momoshiki hiding behind his ship, he bit his tongue but began thinking about their encounter at the Hokage’s office.
Mitsuki, Cho-Cho, and Inojin are captivated by Eida’s magic
In Boruto chapter 74, we follow Sarada and Mitsuki as they monitor their friends’ new living quarters from afar via a remote surveillance gadget. Since Eida could easily see through all of their intentions with her Senrigan, Sarada observed that keeping her under observation from a distance felt futile and strange. Although Shikamaru wanted to put pressure on Eida, Mitsuki reasoned that he would be under some sort of strain anyway.
They were soon joined by Shikadai, Cho-Cho, and Inojin, all of whom had heard reports of a stunning new resident of Konoha. When Inojin and Cho-Cho started arguing, Sarada advised them to take it outside. At that moment, Mitsuki notified her that Eida had arrived.
They were taken aback by Eida’s aerial antics, but the real trouble started when she turned around and stared them in the eyes. Inojin and Cho-Cho were instantly captivated, and even Mitsuki could not resist Eida’s charisma. She reasoned that Sarada and Shikadai hadn’t been influenced since they hadn’t taken a good look at Eida.
This time its Konohamaru who’s on the receiving end of the abuse
At home, Konohamaru gave the two boys one more reprimand before leaving. Just then, Sarada used the psychic connection to let him know that Eida had arrived. Looking at her made Konohamaru flush, despite his best efforts to conceal it. Moegi showed up at Sarada’s location in order to capture Team 10 and punish them for disobeying orders. Moegi warned that Konohamaru had best quit looking and drooling over Eida, causing Sarada to fear.
Moegi and Konohamaru were childhood friends, and Eida’s Senrigan caught up with her calling him “Li’l Konohamaru.” The mentor for Team 7 attempted to fight off Eida’s enchantment but ended up passing out and tumbling down the flight of stairs.
Demons in battle
Boruto saw Eida waiting outside the door and hurried to his teacher’s side. When she accepted his invitation inside, Daemon quickly jumped atop the younger Uzumaki’s shoulder and introduced himself. Kawaki was irritated by the arrival of the visitor and claimed that they had not been informed that Eida would be bringing a friend. Kawaki was provoked into action when Daemon warned the two karma-bearers that he would take them if they killed Eida.
Daemon’s repulsion ability pulled him back as he attempted to attack the cyborg. When Kawaki saw an opportunity, he utilised his dojutsu to summon chakra rods, which he then hurled towards Daemon. Kawaki was knocked unconscious by a kick to the temple from the cyborg, who had quickly caught them and appeared behind him. After witnessing his comrade go down, Boruto launched an assault, but Daemon blocked his fist and kicked him in the back, rendering him helpless.
Shikamaru learns the current state of affairs
When Boruto opened his eyes, he saw Kawaki dozing on the couch, his head in Eida’s lap. When the younger Uzumaki complained that the fight was uncalled for, Daemon said that Eida’s violent welcome was meant to serve as a warning not to cross him or his sister.
Kawaki roused himself shortly thereafter, but before he could respond, Shikamaru made contact with them via telepathy. They had recently had what Boruto called a “baptism by fire” at the hands of Eida’s brother, according to Boruto.
Amado decided to tell Naruto and Shikamaru what he knew at the end of chapter 74 in exchange for being allowed to smoke. As the events of Chapter 74 of Boruto demonstrated, it would be challenging to share a home with Eida and Daemon, especially when Daemon acts like a spoilt child and Kawaki is openly antagonistic towards the siblings.
