Long-time readers will be pleased to know that the focus of The Beginning After The End has switched away from Arthur’s training and onto other characters, including Tessia. Fans are anxious to know what happens next in the series even if the previous episode didn’t finish on a huge cliffhanger.
Review of Chapter 164: “The Beginning After the End”
Tessia and her grandfather get into an argument at the beginning of the previous chapter when Tessia insists she can join the war effort despite her grandfather’s strong objections. Aldir agrees with the first two, saying that she just isn’t powerful enough right now to grant her wish. Aldir and Virion debate how Tessia’s presence on the battlefield will divert Arthur’s attention after she leaves. Tessia has asked the guards to unlock the door, but they appear reluctant to let her escape. When Varay comes, he tells them to unlock the door, and then they all go through the teleportation gate to Etistin City.
The city is then briefly described, and in the meantime, Tessia and Varay have arrived; upon entering, Varay advises Tessia to always have her sword drawn. Curtis is working hard, but he’s making modest progress in training with the Glayder siblings, she tells Tessia. Then she proceeds to convince Kathlyn how superior she is. Tessia and her companions are deep in conversation about the conflict when she accidentally brushes up against another person. However, she reveals herself to be Watsken, a friend of Tessia’s. She claims she is on her way to provide these documents to Master Gideon, who has requested lance’s assistance. Tessia finally asks if she may go along.
