“Criminal Minds: Evolution” Cast, Synopsis & Everything you need to know

Criminal Minds: Evolution, the reboot airing on Paramount+, premieres in just over a month. The show reunites some of the original BAU team to take on a fresh case. TVLine has released numerous fresh photos from the next episode as fans wait with bated breath. Behind-the-scenes and first peeks at both new and returning cast members are shown.
Photograph one features Aisha Tyler as Dr Tara Lewis, Adam Rodriguez as Luke Alvez, and Joe Mantegna as David Rossi, all of whom are returning to the series.

While the photographs mostly feature the returning characters, they do hint at some of the new settings. One of them seems like a warehouse from the blood splatters on the walls. Dr Lewis investigates, hinting that this will be a pivotal scene later in the series. Another picture of Luke, this time peering out of a car door, emphasises the risky nature of his work. Brand new to the series, Zach Gilford, is introduced as Elias Jasper Voit, an operations analyst for a multinational cybersecurity company. Nothing much is known about him outside of his job, other than the fact that he has a dark side and is fascinated by death. Some of his pictures are less specific, but one shows him burying (or possibly digging up) a big case.

Since the premiere hasn’t aired yet, we have no idea how he got himself into this mess, so it’s unclear whether he’s aiding or hindering the investigation. With the new photos comes a poster with the show’s title against a silhouetted face, possibly the new enemy the team will face in the revival series. The poster does a great job of hiding any plot clues beyond the series’ airing platform (Streaming service Paramount+) and its release date. To stop an UnSub who is using the epidemic to recruit a vast group of serial murderers, the BAU (Behavioral Analysis Unit) will reassemble in Criminal Minds: Evolution. As normalcy returns to the globe, the crew begins their hunt for the network’s serial killers.

A.J. also appears alongside the previously named actors. Paget Brewster (Emily Prentiss), Kirsten Vangsness (Penelope Garcia), and Cook (Jennifer Jareau, nicknamed JJ) are all back for the revival. On Thursday, November 24th, at 9 pm, the debut of Criminal Minds: Evolution will air on Paramount+. Until the midseason finale on December 15, new episodes will be released every week. Start watching on January 12 for the midseason opener, and stay tuned for new episodes every week until the season concludes on February 9.
