The novel Tokyo Revengers by Ken Wakui has been quite successful. After the manga’s March 2017 debut, it immediately gained a sizable and steadily expanding fan base. In April of 2021, four years later, an anime adaptation was released thanks to LIDENFILMS. It catapulted Wakui’s series to new heights of fame. After five years and almost 250 chapters, it appears that Wakui’s magnum opus is drawing to a close. Fans have been wondering, “When will Tokyo Revengers manga end?” for a while now, but no one was sure.
There are rumours that the Tokyo Revengers manga may conclude this month. In the 47th issue of Weekly Shonen Magazine, published in 2022, it was announced that the last chapter of Tokyo Revengers will be published on November 16 of that year. Chapter 278 will be the final chapter of the manga. In June of 2021, the series last season premiered. The conclusion will now be published in October 2022. Furthermore, it has been suggested that a “major announcement” would be made in conjunction with the following chapter.
Tokyo Revengers is now Kodansha’s bestselling series, therefore the announcement that it will be ending was shocking to readers. In any case, Ken Wakui, the author, has been dropping hints that he wanted to wrap up the story by the year 2022. In 2017, Kodansha’s Weekly Shnen Magazine published the first chapter of the Tokyo Revengers manga. There have been a total of 29 tankobon volumes released thus far. On November 17th, Japan will receive the 30th volume of the manga. There was even a spoof manga made about it, called Tdai Revengers. Shinpei Funatsu penned and drew the serial, which will premiere in November of 2021. The Magazine Pocket at Kodansha is in charge of the series’ administration. There are now two volumes available in the tankobon series.
In January of 2023, fans may look forward to the premiere of season 2 of the Tokyo Revengers anime. Apparently, Draken will be getting a new voice. The Black Dragons arc, which runs from the manga’s chapters 72 to 121, will be featured in the upcoming season. We left off at Chapter 73, the final one in the first season. Some of the events from the Tenjiku Arc, which occurs after the Black Dragons Arc, might make it into the final cut. There will also be a live-action film adaptation of the series coming out in 2023.
In Conclusion
Fans of Ken Wakui’s masterwork are counting down the days until the end of the final arc, during which they expect some of the story’s many loose ends to be resolved. Most perplexing is the question of who initially shoved Takemichi in front of the train. The extent to which Kisaki and Hanma are familiar with time travel is also an open question. While Wakui did utilise Chapter 271 to clarify Takemichi’s abilities and address some issues about time travel in the story, there are still many mysteries that have yet to be solved. With any luck, this will be addressed in the manga’s last chapter, bringing the story to a close and satisfying the readers.
