The forthcoming Alice Lowe romance comedy Timestalker has recently recruited a few additional cast members. It’s been said that the new movie will be a wonderful mix of romantic comedy, historical fiction, and science fiction. The new film, set for release in 2023, will detail one woman’s unrequited love over several eras and lives. Along with the story, the ensemble cast of Timestalker will also travel across time. Other than Lowe, the newly announced cast members are Jacob Anderson, Aneurin Barnard, Tanya Reynolds, and Nick Frost. Famous for his appearances in “Game of Thrones” and “Interview with the Vampire,” both released in 2022, Anderson has a large fan base.
Barnard’s performance in Dunkirk is what brought him to prominence, whereas Reynolds’ turn as Lily in Sex Education made her famous. Veteran actor Frost has been in such films as “Shaun of the Dead,” “Hot Fuzz,” and “Attack the Block.” Mike Wozniak, Dan Skinner, and Kate Dickie are also newcomers to the cast. Perhaps her most recognisable roles are on the critically acclaimed HBO series Game of Thrones and in the terrifying 2015 Puritan horror film The Witch.
The British comedy actor Wozniak has already worked with Lowe in the 2016 film Prevenge, while Skinner is best known for his role in Notes on Blindness. Dickie and Skinner already worked with Lowe on Prevenge, so it’s safe to assume their next project together will be even more twisted. In the film, Lowe will play Agnes, a lady who gets reborn repeatedly but always ends up with the same wrong-for-her man. The movie will follow Agnes as she lives in New York City in the 1980s, rural England in the 1790s, and post-apocalyptic Manhattan in the 22nd century.
The ensemble group will travel across time with Agnes, bringing turmoil and comic relief to the love story that spans generations. Alice Lowe not only directed, but also authored, the picture. Lowe has reunited with Prevenge producer Vaughan Sivell for her next endeavour. With Prevenge, Lowe made his directorial debut. There are elements of other genres throughout the picture, much like in Timestalker. Unlike Timestalker, which combined science fiction with romantic comedy, Prevenge combines horror and humour to tell the story of a pregnant woman who is persuaded that her unborn child is driving her to kill in retaliation for the murder of her husband and the father of her kid. The film’s release date is still up in the air. It won’t be out until 2023 however. This time-travelling love story may not be revealed for some time.
