Chapter 201 of Jujutsu Kaisen will likely follow suit with the previous chapter, with Hakari, Yuta, and Maki learning about the inflow of new participants in the Culling Game. In the Tokyo No. 2 Colony, Reggie had a talk with Megumi that demonstrated the reincarnated sorcerers did not understand the game’s actual objective. As a result, the modern-day players should expect Hajime Kashimo, Daidou Hagane, and Miyo Rokujushi to form an alliance to counter the newcomers. Potentially returning characters include Hiromi Higuruma and Ryu Ishigori. Chapter 201 of Jujutsu Kaisen might also detail the other countries with whom Kenjaku has been in negotiations and the new players joining Japan’s colonial holdings. Jujutsu Kaisen has become increasingly political since the last chapter. Kenjaku is beginning to entice the United States into capturing Jujutsu Sorcerers by demonstrating the potential benefits and dangers of these individuals’ abilities. In this chapter, he will reveal a taste of the abilities of Jujutsu Sorcerers. Spoilers suggest that the next chapter will also feature a new character named Cyrus. Gary, who still hasn’t grasped the full extent of the Jujutsu Sorcerers’ strength, doubts that a squad of 13 elite troops can take them down. In an intriguing last page that was accidentally released, Kenjaku, who resembles the Hindu god Ganesha, summons an elephant-like Cursed Spirit.
Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 201
The chapter opens with President Trump becoming enraged with Cyrus as he suggests capturing Japanese citizens for scientific purposes. Cyrus justifies the abduction of Japanese citizens by arguing that they can’t afford to lag behind Russia, China, and other countries in the race to develop alternative energy sources. The President inquires Lieutenant Gary about the number of personnel he will need for this operation. Gary presses Kenjaku for further information by describing Gojo as a white-haired man and inquiring as to whether or not the sorcerers view him as weird. Kenny responds that he will be permanently sealed in November and unable to leave his cell. Sorcerers can be captured with as little as one company of soldiers, Gary retorts.
Next, he asks Cyrus if a dozen sorcerers would be sufficient for the study, to which Gary nods his head. Apparently the Japanese lack both muscle and ammunition, in Gary’s opinion, making them easy prey. But Kenjaku orders them to send in a battalion of at least 800 men. Aren’t the Japanese people weak and timid, Gary mocks Kenjaku. Uraume gets all up and says they need to give it a go. Kenjaku introduces himself and Uraume as “two sorcerers” and then announces, “There are fifteen troops stationed outside,” referring to their military contingent. Gary informs the president that 13 of them are top-tier specialists capable of defeating Kenjaku with relative ease. The President and his guests have relocated to the White House’s east wing, while Kenjaku and Uraume have taken over the west.
Uraume, noticing that Kenny is bored, asks if they might assist Kenjaku; Kenny flatly declines and instead promises to wow them with a new technique. As the President warns Gary that they have gone too far by sending in special troops, Gary responds that they should aim for an overwhelming victory rather than a just satisfactory one. Kenjaku, who resembles the Hindu god Ganesha, casts a curse in the form of a giant elephant that causes all of the elite warriors to start soaring through the air. As the chapter concludes, Kenjaku adds, “If you’ve understood, then let’s begin the sorcerers’ quest.” In the previous panel, Yuji, Megumi, Angel, and Takaba can be seen racing.
An overview of Chapter 200
Jujutsu Kaisen’s 200th chapter opened with Yuji’s horror as Sukuna revealed that he is “the disgraced” player they must defeat to rescue Gojo from the Prison Realm. Megumi spotted Yuji acting suspiciously, and Yuji used the chance to try to tell Hana Kurusu about his discovery in a way that wouldn’t draw her attention. Megumi worried that Sukuna, and by extension Yuji, was the Angel’s intended victim. Yuji’s decision to commit suicide had the double effect of resurrecting Gojo and wiping off a big chunk of Sukuna, therefore he was bang on the money. Since Angel’s Cursed Technique in Chapter 200 had the potential to permanently exorcise Sukuna, the King of Curses intervened to prevent his vessel from revealing his true nature to Hana.
Chapter 200 of Jujutsu Kaisen then shifts to Kenjaku and Uraume teaching the White House staff the fundamentals of cursed energy and jujutsu and demonstrating the power of sorcerers. They were successful in persuading the government that the cursed energy was a viable clean energy source worthy of research and development. Afterwards, Kenjaku informed the President that nearly every great sorcerer in Japan will converge on Tokyo for the Culling Game ceremony, asking the President to utilise his position to capture sorcerers as research subjects to investigate cursed energy.
The newest arc of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga began with chapter 200, Direct Talks, Part 1, and it was jam-packed with surprising disclosures. There was already tension due to Angel’s requirements and Sukuna’s announcement, but the addition of more participants to the Culling Game may make the ritual into a real massacre.
