Trailer for “Poker Face” Cast, Synopsis, Release Date & More

Poker Face, starring writer-director and Oscar winner Russell Crowe has a brand new trailer and poster, both of which were published by Screen Media. In the film Poker Face, a group of friends play their annual game of poker, but the stakes are much higher than usual because someone may really die if they lose. Crowe plays Jake Foley, a tech mogul and compulsive gambler who hosts the show. The pals can’t say no to a $25 million prize in this game. However, Jake has poisoned them, since he has already been mistreated by each of them, and the only way for them to remain “in the game” is to expose the truths they have been holding from Jake.

The situation becomes more complicated when a gang of robbers, thinking the estate is deserted, breaks in. After taking refuge in a room, the pals need to work together if they want to make it out alive. Jake’s strategy is introduced in the first minute and 58 seconds of the new teaser, which also highlights all the work Jake went in to extract the secrets from the individuals he thought were friends. Jake is revealed to be someone who is going “all in” in this game, from choosing the poison to following their movements. Jake’s girls arrive home as the group of “friends” flees to their safe room after learning the rules of the game and the poisoning specifics.

A voiceover from Jake says, “As the trailer builds up for the showdown between the players and the robbers, “To some extent, I suppose, life may be seen as a game. Win as much as possible while losing as little as possible, and play for as long as possible.” Crowe co-wrote the script for Poker Face with co-star Stephen M. Coates and also directed the picture. Crowe is joined by a stellar ensemble that also includes Rza, Brooke Satchwell, Aden Young, Steve Bastoni, Daniel MacPherson, Paul Tassone, Elsa Pataky, and Jack Thompson.
On October 16 at the 2022 Rome Film Festival, Poker Face will have its international debut. The film will then be released in cinemas on November 16 and on demand the following week, on November 22.

Synopsis
High Stakes Poker stars Russell Crowe as computer tycoon and gambler Jake Foley, who throws a party for his closest friends and gives them a chance to win more money than they could ever imagine. But in order to take part, they must reveal the one thing they have worked so hard to conceal: their identities and their secrets. Friends will learn what’s at stake as the game progresses.
