The Breakdown, the best-selling novel by B.A. Paris is now being filmed in the United Kingdom. Blackwater Lane is a psychological thriller starring Dermot Mulroney, Maggie Grace, and Minka Kelly. The film will centre on a lady who drives by a stranded motorist without stopping and will incorporate otherworldly themes. The news of the motorist’s death has left the woman fearful that she, too, may meet an untimely end. Jeff Celentano is directing Blackwater Lane. In this case, the producers are Elizabeth Fowler, Warren Ostergard, and Lucinda Thakrar. Kelly has starred in a number of critically and commercially successful films in the 2010s, including The Roommate, Just Go With It, and The Butler. Kelly has had recent roles on shows including Titans and the critically acclaimed HBO drama Euphoria. Grace is likely most well-known for her role as the daughter of Liam Neeson’s character in the Taken trilogy, though she has also had appearances in the Twilight series, Lost, and Fear the Walking Dead.
The Secret Art of Human Flight and Incident on 459 will be Grace’s next cinematic role. Young Guns, My Best Friend’s Wedding, Friends, Shameless, August: Osage County, Insidious: Chapter 3, Arrested Development, and The Righteous Gemstones are just a few of the films and TV episodes in which Mulroney has starred since the 1980s. Nearly a dozen new titles have been announced with Mulroney slated to feature, including the highly anticipated horror sequel Scream 6.
