The official trailer for the 2nd season of Apple TV’s critically acclaimed drama series The Mosquito Coast, which premiered in 2021, has been released. The new teaser precedes the release of Season 2 on Apple TV+ on November 4, with new episodes dropping every Friday until January 6, 2023. Adapted on Paul Theroux’s 1981 best-seller of the same name, The Mosquito Coast stars Justin Theroux as Allie Fox, a “brilliant inventor and wilful optimist” who uproots his family and heads south of the border.
This isn’t a random choice, either; Allie and his family have been on the run for some time now while the United States government investigates his covert ties to a Mexican drug gang. Keep a sharp eye out for the police & the cartel as they make their way across Mexico on their approach to the United States. The second season will include a total of 10 episodes, which is three more than the first season. The Fox family is shown in the new 2-minute and 8-second teaser adjusting to life as refugees in the little village of Casa Rojas in the Guatemalan forest. The preview depicts how the family members struggle to adjust to their new surroundings while also learning about the sinister truths that lie behind the “apparently beautiful neighbourhood.”
While the US government continues to try to track him down and bring him to prison, Allie becomes engaged in a fight between local drug lords and his family. Melissa George’s character, Margot, appears to sell him out towards the end of the trailer. Neil Cross, along with Tom Bissell, devised and executive produced The Mosquito Coast for television. Logan Polish and Gabriel Bateman play Theroux and George’s children, Dina and Charlie, respectively. Also featured are guest stars such as Kimberly Elise, James LeGros, Ian Hart, and Paterson Joseph.
Producers for Season 2 of The Mosquito Coast include Mark V. Olsen, Will Scheffer, Stefan Schwartz, Evan Katz, Rupert Wyatt, Paul Theroux (author of the novel on which the series is based), and Justin Theroux (star of the show). Veritas Entertainment Group also has Bob Bookman, Alan Gasmer, and Peter Jaysen as executive producers. Fremantle produced Apple TV+ original series The Mosquito Coast. On November 4, Season 2 of The Mosquito Coast will premiere internationally on Apple TV, with new episodes premiering every week.

How it turns out will have lasting effects on the family’s cohesiveness or its ability to break itself apart.
