According to Deadline, Walter Perez has been hired in a recurring role on the forthcoming Paramount series Fatal Attraction. He will portray DDA Jorge Perez, a likeable guy with a solid work ethic. He’ll be joining the likes of Dr Death’s Joshua Jackson and Lizzy Caplan in the series’ massive ensemble cast (Cloverfield). Toby Huss (Copshop), Reno Wilson (Transformers), and Brian Goodman are the new series’ stars. Also starring are Amanda Peet (2012), Wanda De Jesus (Law & Order: LA), and Alyssa Jirrels (As We See It) (The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift).
As of now, recurring cast members include Jessica Harper (Suspiria), John Getz (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit), Toks Olagundoye (Arcane), and David Sullivan (Argo). The series is based on the 1987 film of the same name, which starred Michael Douglas, Glenn Close, and Anne Archer. While the show’s specifics are still a mystery, we know that it will continue to probe the issues of the original film through the perspective of contemporary attitudes and revolve around the same idea of an affair becoming violent.
Fatal Attraction, planned to premiere on Paramount+ at some point in the future, will feature an ensemble cast of great performers in a modern reimagining of a classic film from the ’80s. The show will be written by Alexandra Cunningham and Kevin J. Hynes, and Silver Tree will direct and serve as an EP. Cunningham and Hynes not only write for the show but also serve as executive producers alongside Justin Falvey, Darryl Frank, Stanley R. Jaffe, and Sherry Lansing. This show is a co-production between Amblin TV and Paramount TV. In addition to Fatal Attraction, Perez will also have a reoccurring role in the NBC reboot of the iconic series Quantum Leap.
In addition, he will co-star alongside Danny Trejo (Machete) and be directed by Nick Slatkin in the forthcoming film Heartland Cartel. Perez has appeared on various television shows, including Queen Sugar, NCIS, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and 9-1-1: Lone Star.
Even though a premiere date has not been announced, Fatal Attraction will likely make its debut on the streaming service Paramount+.
