It’s the return of the Transformers! The first official trailer for the new animated Transformers series, Earthspark, premiered today at New York City Comic Con. Each and every Transformers fan will be shocked by the trailer’s hints of brand-new robots, massive fights, and a surprising storyline twist. On November 11, the first 10 episodes of the debut season will be made available to stream on Paramount+ in the United States and Canada.
As with nearly all Transformers material since the franchise’s inception, Transformers: Earthspark is set after the battle between the Autobots and Decepticons.
A young Robby (Sydney Mikayla) and Mo (Zion Broadnax) are having a hard time adjusting to their new life in a tiny village after moving there from the big metropolis. That is until they encounter two Terrans, Kathleen Khavari and Zeno Robinson, a new species of Transformers with Earthly origins. Autobot Bubblebee (Danny Pudi) soon joins them as they teach the two humans about heroism and train the two Terrans. As a fan of the Transformers franchise, you can be certain that this trailer will deliver on all of your expectations for a good time.
However, that in no way implies that there aren’t any novel elements or surprises to be found there. In the pilot episode, we are introduced to the series’ main antagonist for the first time, and it’s not a Decepticon. Mandroid, the villainous scientist who seeks to wipe out all Transformers and is voiced by Diedrich Bader, is a fan favourite. An army of terrifying robot spiders is under his command in the preview footage. All of the viewers’ jaws will drop at the trailer’s big reveal of the plot’s shocking twist.
Rory McCann of “Game of Thrones” voice fame has transformed Megatron into a kind man. The promotional material even portrays him working along with Optimus Prime. New voice actors were confirmed in addition to the trailer’s premiere at New York Comic Con. Nolan North, Michael T. Downey, Marc Evan Jackson, Sean Kenin Reyes, Nicole Dubuc, Martha Marion, Kari Wahlgren, and Daran Norris have all been confirmed as voice performers. Mikayla, Broadnax, Khavari, Robinson, Pudi, McCann, Bader, Benni Latham, Jon Jon Briones, Alan Tudyk, and Cissy Jones have previously been revealed as voice actors.
Dale Malinowski, a veteran writer of Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, is the mind behind Transformers: Earthspark. Together with Ant Ward, Malinowski will serve as executive producer on the show. Claudia Spinelli, Nickelodeon’s Sr. VP of Big Kids Animation, oversaw the adaptation of the show for television. Mikiel Houser for Nickelodeon and Kari Rosenberg for eOne are in charge of production. Paramount+ is the exclusive U.S. and Canadian home for the premiere of Transformers: Earthspark’s first 10 episodes on November 11. In the later part of the month, the series will premiere in countries where Paramount+ is available. The Nickelodeon channels all around the world will also be airing the programme.
