Blackbox TV has dropped a brand new video for Scream Park, its next virtual reality series starring Stranger Things’ breakthrough star Grace Van Dien. The show serves a dual purpose, as both an original horror narrative and a 360-degree virtual reality experience in which viewers get imprisoned in a haunting amusement park. Kelly Q (Van Dien), a wandering spirit, is introduced in the new video as being imprisoned by demonic forces in a decrepit amusement park.
To get out of Scream Park, viewers must experience some terrifying rides in Kelly Q’s direction. Scream Park’s viewers, however, will not only see the gore and mayhem from the safety of their sofas; they will experience it firsthand by donning a virtual reality headset. Since the show was made specifically for Meta Quest 2, spectators may look in any direction while on the roller coasters to catch different peaks of the nightmare environment.
With Van Dien on board, Scream Park has the potential to provide a unique Halloween experience by being on the cusp between a television programme and a video game. After appearing in the fourth season of Netflix’s most popular TV programme, Stranger Things, Van Dien became a household name. Chrissy Cunningham, a high school cheerleader, was Van Dien’s first on-screen victim in the role of Vecna, the series’ main antagonist. Fans adored Van Dien’s nuanced portrayal of Crissy, but her time on Stranger Things was brief. Additionally, she started streaming on Twitch earlier this year.
Therefore, Van Dien’s background in high-budget horror television and gaming makes her an ideal lead for Scream Park. Tony E. Valenzuela, creator of Blackbox TV, and Tru Collins, an accomplished producer, are responsible for the creation of Scream Park. Steve Zaragoza plays the series villain, Toby Terrific, with Zach Villa (American Horror Story) and the voice Monique Coleman (High School Musical: The Musical: The Series). Scream Park episodes typically last for about seven minutes. Valenzuela made these remarks on the premiere of the series. It’s an honour to introduce “Scream Park” to the community of adrenaline junkies and horror fans.
To bring it to the spotlight on Meta Quest 2 was the culmination of a lot of hard work. We combined live-action with computer-generated imagery to create a full-immersion virtual reality setting. We’re excited for fans to join our brilliant cast and crew as they explore new depths of this immersive narrative universe. Download Scream Park from Meta Quest 2 now!
