Read Hunter X Hunter Manga Release Date Summaries, Storyline, Preview, Leaks & Much More Updates

Yoshihiro Togashi’s Hunter x Hunter will return to Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump on October 23, 2022, after an absence of over four years. Manga fans can look forward to a simultaneous English release on the pages of Viz Media’s Shonen Jump on the same day the Japanese edition hits newsstands. The 390 chapters of Hunter x Hunter have thus been translated and posted in English on Shonen Jumo by Viz Media in anticipation of the manga’s future chapter release. The cover art for the 37th volume of the manga, the first in four years, has been unveiled by Shueisha.

There will soon be a new Hunter X Hunter manga in Shonen Jump
Since most countries utilise a different time zone than Japan, the simulpub will release the chapters a day early, on October 23, even though the manga will formally debut on Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump on October 24 in Japan due to the time difference.
Before its current, lengthy suspension that began in November 2018, the manga had already been put on hold several times owing to Mangaka’s ongoing health problems.

Togashi resumed work on the manga once his health had stabilised, and he began using Twitter to inform fans of his progress. Togashi mentioned in May 2022 that he had finished the rough draughts for 10 chapters and the manuscripts for seven chapters. Since Togashi has so much work on deck, we can rest certain that the manga will not be taking any time off in the foreseeable future.

Shueisha has released the cover art for volume 37 of their Hunter x Hunter manga. The cover art for the manga’s next 37th volume has also been revealed by Shueisha. There are ten chapters (381–390) that have yet to be collected into a manga volume, thus they will all be included in Volume 37. Volume 36 of the manga was published by Shueisha in October 2018, and it was distributed by Viz Media in North America in August 2019.

Hunter x Hunter was created by Yoshihiro Togashi and originally appeared in Weekly Shonen Jump on March 16, 1998. Since then, the manga has been adapted twice: once by Nippon Animation (October 1999 – March 2002) and once by Madhouse (October 2011 – September 2014). The second season aired for 148 episodes, however, the tale was only adapted through the 32nd volume of the manga. Also, throughout the years, the studio has created not one, but two feature-length animated features, in addition to a number of original video anime titles. Fans are hoping that, as Studio Pierrot did with Bleach, Madhouse would pick up the animation when the manga returns.
