[FINAL] Spoilers for Blue Lock Episode 2, Preview, Storyline Released Online

Yoichi Isagi has decided to take the Blue Lock Program’s challenge and compete against 299 other players for the title of World’s Greatest Striker. Can we expect him to win? Find out when Blue Lock Episode 2 will air, how long till it airs, and anything else you need to know about it right here!

Summary of Episode 1 of Blue Lock
Ichinan and Matsukaze Kokuou are competing in the state championship match for Saitama Prefecture in the National High School Soccer Tournament. Yoichi Isaga is in difficulty because the score is now 1-0. Their hopes of making the Nationals will be dashed if they lose this game. Yoichi’s first plan was to win the game single-handedly, but his teammates quickly reminded him that soccer is played with eleven players and that everyone must work together to succeed. He then kicks the ball to Tada, who ultimately fails to convert on a scoring opportunity. When Kira Ryosuke of Matsukaze Kokuou scores on a counterattack against Ichinan, the game is finished. Yoichi’s squad is dejectedly contemplating their loss as Kira Ryosuke is being questioned by the media.

Yoichi, on his walk home, thinks back to his early ambition to play for Japan and fulfil his boyhood dream of being a famous striker. Their team’s loss makes it doubtful that he will ever realise his goal. Yoichi ponders his last-second decision to pass to Tada-chan. If he hadn’t passed the ball and done what his coach told him to do, he would have scored. Yoichi found out he was selected to become a recognised soccer player when he got a letter at home from the Japan Football Union. Yoichi was invited to a meeting at the Japan Football Union the next day when he ran across Kira Ryosuke. When they entered the union, though, they were taken aback by the sight of other, more menacing players waiting inside. Yoichi has noticed that every single player invited, from Sennou’s ace player Okawa to the tallest high school athlete Ishikari, is a forward.

Suddenly, a guy identified as Ego Jinpachi explained the meeting’s purpose. Through his Blue Lock initiative, he plans to educate three hundred young Japanese footballers to become the finest attackers in the world. The players will also start living together and won’t be able to go back to their families, thereby ending their lives as soccer players. The other players, led by Kira, who is competing in Nationals, began to speak out against the programme as a result. In response, Ego Jinpachi suggested that anyone who didn’t want to become the greatest striker in the world either lock off or leave. The idea of collaboration, according to Jinpachi, has made the Japanese national soccer team mediocre. When it comes to soccer, in Jinpachi’s opinion, the best players are the ones that score the most goals, whereas working together is counterproductive.

In his ongoing monologue, Jinpachi showcases some of the top players in the world, all of whom are selfish and care solely about themselves and not the team. He thinks that in order to be the best striker in the world, you have to be the biggest egotist. Yoichi recalls a prior loss in which he had a chance to win on his own. Thus, he accepted the Blue Lock programme after giving some serious thought to it. Eventually, Yoichi and the other players rush the gate in an effort to become the best striker in the world. Yoichi has been placed in a dorm with some of the most out-of-the-ordinary participants in the Blue Lock programme. On top of that, he is rated 299th overall. As it turns out, Ego Jinpachi’s evaluation of their competence is the primary factor in determining their final grade.

The screen cut to Jinpachi, who stated that Japan’s U-20 squad will feature five of the best players from the Blue Lock programme. However, those who are knocked out will never be able to represent Japan in the sport again. In addition, Jinpachi declared that the initial training will begin by eliminating one participant from each area. All players have 136 seconds to tag each other. The last player standing must go immediately. The sole rule against them is that they cannot use their hands. Yoichi’s chamber has the game’s first IT, the temple monk Igarashi (300th mark). So he decides to wake up Meguru, who is snoozing on the floor.

Meguru unexpectedly kicks Igarashi in the face, dodging the strike. It seems like the next thing they know, Igarashi is kicking the ball at Rensuke Kunigami’s face. Rensuke felt furious and resolved to exact revenge on Igarashi. Yoichi is in danger since Igarashi is holding him to shield him from Rensuke’s blow. Yoichi replaces Igarashi as IT as a result of his activities. Time is running out and Yoichi has to find a weak guy to hit, but all he can think of is how surprised Igarashi was by his injury. Yoichi swings for the strongest guy in the room, having originally planned to attack Igarashi. The two were playing ball when suddenly Meguru grabbed the ball from Yoichi and launched an attack on Kira. While evading Meguru’s onslaught, Kira allows Yoichi to regain possession of the ball and score the game-winning goal by kicking it in Kira’s direction. After Kira’s early elimination from the first Tag game, what comes next?
