October to See Novelization of ‘Halloween’ Finish Its Run

There will be a novelization of Halloween Ends, much like there was for the 2018 Halloween and its sequel Halloween Kills. On October 18, the novel Halloween Ends will be released on bookstore shelves and on the web. All of these novels have been adapted from films, and while they generally stick close to the plots of the movies, they often include additional material that wasn’t included in the movies. The novelization of Halloween includes details such as the discovery of Sheriff Leigh Brackett’s notebooks, while the novelization of Halloween Kills added details such as the mentioning of Tommy Doyle’s Thorn tattoo on his arm (a nod to the Cult of the Thorn presence in Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers).

John Passarella penned the novelization for Halloween (2018), while Tim Waggoner penned the novelization for Halloween Kills. Paul Brad Logan, who also wrote the screenplay for Halloween, wrote the novelization. Starting with John Carpenter’s Halloween in 1978 and continuing with Halloween (2018) as a direct sequel to that film, Halloween Ends is the last film in the original Halloween franchise. Halloween Ends is set four years after the events of Halloween Kills, during which Michael’s reign of terror in Haddonfield, Illinois came to an end. Laurie Strode, portrayed by Jamie Lee Curtis, is healing and writing a memoir on her experiences with her granddaughter Allyson, portrayed by Andi Matichak.

Michael Myers, also known as “The Shape” and “The Boogeyman,” has been missing for four years. There has been relative calm, and Laurie appears to be moving forward with her life without holding on to the past. However, that changes when Corey Cunningham is accused of murdering the youngster he was caring for. This chain of events compels Laurie to confront and vanquish the darkness within her. You may reserve a copy of the novelization of Halloween Ends at any of your local bookshops now. If you can’t wait till the movie comes out in theatres and on-demand on Peacock on October 14, you may still enjoy the book in the meanwhile.

Synopsis
This is the end for Laurie Strode. After 45 years, the most celebrated and respected horror franchise in cinema history comes to an epic, horrifying climax as Laurie Strode faces a battle against the personification of evil, Michael Myers, in a final encounter unlike any caught on film before. One of them is going to die. Icon This is Jamie Lee Curtis’ final time playing Laurie Strode, the first “final girl” in the horror genre and the part that catapulted her to fame. With almost 40 years under his belt, Curtis’ portrayal of Laurie is one of the longest in film history.

The 2018 reboot of the Halloween franchise was the highest-grossing instalment in the franchise’s history and the greatest opening weekend ever for a horror film starring a woman. Laurie is currently wrapping up her autobiography while residing with her granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) four years after the events of last year’s Halloween Kills. Since then, Michael Myers has vanished. After decades of letting Michael’s ghost control and shape her life, Laurie has finally broken free of her paralysing fears and resentments in order to fully experience life. Yet, when Corey Cunningham (Rohan Campbell; The Hardy Boys, Virgin River) is accused of murdering a youngster he was babysitting, a chain reaction of violence and dread is set off, compelling Laurie to face the evil she cannot resist.
