Kyle Richards’ return to the Halloween franchise was not only greatly anticipated, but also a clever decision by production. She went from leading the pack as the queen of Beverly Hills to starring opposite the original scream queen on the big screen. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star is on the show since its first season in 2010, and she also appeared in the 1978 film directed by John Carpenter. However, she didn’t return to the Halloween franchise until David Gordon Green’s 2018 film.
Richards posted to Instagram to talk about returning to the character of Lindsay Wallace a little over a week before the ultimate encounter between Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) and Michael Myers (James Jude Courtney) in Halloween Ends. Richards, while the crew works hard on set behind her, expresses her “appreciation” for being able to reprise her role after more than four decades. She claims that she didn’t really understand her role in the first film since she was just eight years old, but that returning to the set “has been such a fantastic experience.”
She continues to gush about the incredible amount of work that Green and his team put into the trilogy in order to “create the finest movie they can produce.” She goes on to say that the “comradery” of the cast and crew “made [her] feel wonderful” and “added to the delight” she experienced on site. As viewers of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills know, Richards’s leading role opposite Curtis in Halloween was a pivotal moment in her life and marked the beginning of a decades-long friendship between the two. True fact: Curtis has made two separate appearances on the show, the first in Season 4 and the second in the current season.
Kim Richards, Richards’ younger sister, also became a successful child actor, featuring in movies including Escape to Witch Mountain and Tuff Tuff, and she starred in the tv show Housewives for five seasons. Paris and Nicky Hilton’s mom, Kathy Hilton, is also a cast member on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and someone you should never say “no” to if she invites you to join her conga line, iykyk. Both Jamie Lee Curtis and The Shape, aka the Slow Walker, will be seen for the final time in Halloween Ends, the concluding film in director Gordon Green’s series.
The story picks up 4 years after the events of Halloween Kills, with Laurie and her granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) living their lives as best they can. Unfortunately, their serenity is short-lived since a local youngster (Rohan Campbell) is arrested and charged with killing the young kid he is caring for. As the forces of evil return to the town, Laurie will have to battle Michael to death. Like Richards, Sutton Stracke will soon be seen in a Hollywood production; she has a guest role on the upcoming season of Chucky on SYFY and USA Network. Below is Richards’ Instagram post announcing the release of Halloween Ends in theatres and on Peacock on October 14. Are you eager to find out who makes it to the end?
