One of the new mythological animals that will be included in the series is the Fenghuang, better known as the Chinese Phoenix, and it can be unveiled exclusively in a new preview for Abominable and The Invisible City, a spinoff series of the 2019 smash animated movie Abominable. A wayward bird is being assisted by Yi (Chloe Bennet), Jin (Tenzing Trainor), and Peng (Ethan Loh), who are all voiced in the new clip. The three friends discovered the bird hiding in their oven, but no matter what they try, the bird won’t leave their roof. At least, until the sunshine warms its feathers.
The bird is a Fenghuang, a legendary bird that is claimed to have been born from the sun in China. A cloud obscures the sun just as the Fenghuang is about to take flight. This first appears to be bad news for the Fenghuang, but it turns out that the cloud is actually delivering Everest back to Yi’s house. Since the group is overjoyed to see Everest again, this scene likely originates from the premiere of Abominable and The Invisible City. This is because the Fenghuang aren’t the only mythological animals who have become separated from their team in China, and the series will bring them all back together to rescue the day.
If Everest has only recently been reunited with his human buddies, then the discovery of the Fenghuang can only be the start of yet another enchanted journey. Abominable and The Invisible City revives Burnish to join the human children and the Yeti in their quest to preserve magical animals (voiced by Alan Cumming). The old millionaire served as the film’s primary adversary. At the film’s conclusion, Burnish had come to see that it was wrong to try to catch a Yeti and that those in positions of power should instead utilise their resources to protect the environment.
Burnish’s about-face means he’ll back Yi on her next exploits, during which she’ll utilise her enchanted violin to ensure the safety of all mythological beasts. Michelle Wong, Karen Huie, and Darin De Paul round out the voice casts for Abominable and The Invisible City. On October 5, Hulu and Peacock will debut Abominable and The Invisible City.
The comic adventure series Abominable and The Invisible City is a sequel to DreamWorks Animation’s Abominable and has the same wild and woolly fun. Thanks to the yeti in Everest, Yi, Jin, and Peng have learned that a magical realm exists beyond their own, and it’s closer than they thought. The youngsters will go on remarkable and touching excursions all across town and beyond when they learn that the world is full with magical creatures in need of their assistance.
