The release of Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 199 is imminent. In the last chapter’s climax, Maki gained a substantial advantage. Naoya, the cursed spirit, was ultimately sent out, elevating her status to that of Toji Fushiguro. The status of Yuji and Megumi will probably be updated in Chapter 199. The spoilers have revealed more about “Angel” Hana Kusuru and the “King of Curses” Ryomen Sukuna.
After Gojo was locked up, the Jujutsu World was in shambles, but Angel may be their saviour. This piece discusses her significance in Jujutsu Kaisen and why she is so vital to Yuji and Gojo.
Possible plot spoilers for Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 199
So why is Angel so crucial to Yuji and Gojo?
Understanding Hana Kusuru is made easier by reading Chapter 199 of Jujutsu Kaisen. She acts as Yuji’s conduit for Angel. When Hana is questioned about who she is, a mouth appears on her face, and with it, a sight of Angel. Angel is the name the tongue gives itself. It states its intention to eliminate all reincarnated characters. The reason for this is that the vessels are either tamed or killed throughout the reincarnation process.
That sort of thing violates the rules of nature. Angel eventually decides to aid in Gojo’s release in exchange for payment. To help her battle the “Fallen Angel,” she begs for their help. She calls Megumi her “Man of Destiny,” but she doesn’t elaborate on why. In a subsequent appearance, Sukuna reveals his true identity as the eponymous “Fallen Angel.”
It’s possible that Gojo and Yuji’s lives will depend on whether or not Angel comes over to their side. In the Jujutsu Kaisen series, Gojo has been shut away for a total of 978 days. Time stands still in the Prison Realm, as was said before.
But as Geto points out, the sealing process doesn’t finish immediately, so there is still hope for his freedom. The destiny of the Jujutsu World and humanity hangs in the balance as the Gojo creatures are imprisoned. Megumi went to Tengen for help with the Gojo situation in Chapter 145 of Jujutsu Kaisen. Tengen mentioned a hidden entrance to the Realm. Only the Black Rope or the Inverted Spear of Heaven (which counteracts all cursed methods) can unlock this hidden door (disrupts and cancels cursed technique effects).
However, these creatures are now completely extinct. To eliminate the latter and protect himself from Miguel, Gojo may have destroyed or sealed the former. With Angel, though, there is hope that everything will turn out okay in the end. Angel is able to put an end to any curse by using her own cursed technique. If successful, this may be the key to breaking Gojo’s seal. Like Hana Kusuru, he has come to Yuji as the vessel of Sukuna. At the beginning of the Jujutsu Kaisen series, he ingests Sukuna’s finger and has access to an immense store of cursed energy.
The Jujutsu Society sought to eliminate Yuji on the grounds that he posed a serious threat if Sukuna were to get control of him. However, Gojo came to his aid and is now transforming him into a jujutsu wizard. Sixteen of the Demon King’s fingers have been ingested by Yuji thus far. Sukuna could certainly do some significant harm with this. Now that Angel is on their side, it just could be the key to rescuing Yuji. A “Fallen Angel” is a powerful being that Angel hopes to vanquish. Ryomen Sukuna is the identity of this person or thing.
If their showdown in Jujutsu Kaisen does occur, Angel may have the upper hand because of her ability to counteract the Demon King’s cursed moves. The group would then have a fighting chance to rescue Yuji and eliminate Sukuna for good. However, if only it were that simple. As nothing is known about Angel’s skills, the outcome of a fight with the “King of Curses” is anyone’s guess. Neither Angel nor her skills have been fully explored. It is said that she is a powerful sorceress who has been active for over a millennium ago. Because of her cursed technique, she is immune to other cursed methods. The problem is that our understanding of that is restricted as well. Even more so, Sukuna, the enemy she seeks to vanquish, is no easy foe.
