Alleged leaks for Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 199 show that beloved character Megumi Fushiguro and newcomer Yuji Itadori share the limelight. Fans are ecstatic about the return of these two characters, even if the events surrounding their homecoming are equally noteworthy. Even though the rest of Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 199 centres around other characters, Maki Zenin and Noritoshi Kamo’s early appearances in the issue are mostly neglected.
It is evident that fans are looking forward to the return of Megumi and Yuji to the series’ main emphasis, despite the fact that the show has been consistently outstanding even without them. Keep reading as I discuss in detail the fandom’s response to Yuji and Megumi’s reappearance and touch on general spoilers for Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 199.
In Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 199, the cost of taking the first decisive move toward liberating Gojo is high. Although there is currently no text synopsis for Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 199 spoilers, the raw scans have been leaked to Twitter by trusted members of the series’ fandom.
From what I can see from these scans, the first half of the issue centres on Maki Zenin and Noritoshi Kamo, with an emphasis on Noritoshi’s early life and origins. Some readers have taken a loose interpretation of a discussion between a young Noritoshi and his mother on several pages to mean that Noritoshi has a brother. Nonetheless, Chapter 199 of Jujutsu Kaisen switches viewpoints, and this flashback takes readers halfway through the issue.
Afterwards, the reader is presented with a scene in a hotel room, where Megumi Fushiguro, Yuji Itadoria, Hana Kurusu, and Fumihiko Takaba are reminiscing about their time in the Culling Game. As the characteristic little mouth began to sprout on other portions of her body and talk independently of her, it became clear that Kurusu had consumed at least one Sukuna finger. Eventually, the conversation shifts to Gojo and Kurusu’s assistance in freeing him, and it’s revealed that she’ll only aid if “the Fallen Angel” is vanquished.
The conclusion of Chapter 199 of Jujutsu Kaisen reveals that the aforementioned Fallen Angel is really Ryomen Sukuna. While much of the attention has been on Yuji and Megumi’s overall homecoming, this is a crucial discovery that has to be addressed. Since there is currently no known method of beating Sukuna, Yuji would have to devour all 20 fingers and be executed before Gojo is opened. However, there may be another approach that does not result in Yuji’s death before Gojo is saved. Itadori might be able to convince Kurusu to aid them before conquering Sukuna if he assures him he can die with honour once Kenjaku is vanquished.
It’s possible that Sukuna’s spirit can be exorcised without letting him have full possession of Yuji’s body. In addition to establishing a new struggle in battling and exorcising Sukuna, this would also release Gojo, save Yuji’s life, and grant Kurusu’s wish. Nothing has been confirmed by the official release of the series, not even the rumoured raw scans of Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 199. Not only that, but it’s quite unlikely that any language translations will reveal the precise course of this storyline until the official scans are released. Fans will just have to keep reading to find out what happens in subsequent issues.
