Connie Nielsen, who was so impressive in Gladiator, has joined the cast of a new thriller from Catalyst Studios. Follow Me is a psychological thriller “full of twists and turns,” and it will be directed by Scottish filmmaker Siri Rdnes. Filming for Follow Me will get underway this week in Serbia. Nielsen has starred in several critically acclaimed films such as The Devil’s Advocate, Rushmore, and Mission to Mars during the course of his impressive career. In addition, she has had regular guest parts on shows including The Good Wife and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and she has appeared in successful series like Boss and I Am The Night.
In addition to Wonder Woman, Wonder Woman 1984, and Zack Snyder’s Justice League, Nielsen is probably most known for her portrayal as Queen Hippolyta of the Amazons. She’ll appear in the forthcoming drama Tonight at Noon with Chiwetel Ejiofor, as well as the thriller Role Play starring Kaley Cuoco and Bill Nighy. Mark Pennell, co-founder of Catalyst Studios, will make his directorial debut with the feature film Follow Me.
While the film’s premise is being kept under wraps, it is being reported that it will examine the lethal results of combining “money, secrets, and lies.” It has been suggested that Follow Me was influenced by and is in the same style as the old Hitchcock thrillers. Rdnes, who is best known for helming a series of critically praised short films, is poised to helm the feature picture adaptation of the novel Follow Me. A Gambler’s Guide to Dying, set to be released in 2020, will be their debut feature film after they directed many episodes of the Scottish serial opera River City. Rdnes is in talks to helm the next science fiction feature Nine Lives.
Both Sam Hunt and Stef Dawson will be appearing with Nielsen in the flick. Hunt is well-known for his work on shows like Chicago PD and Empire, as well as films like Submerged and Unbroken: Path to Redemption. Dawson’s filmography includes leading roles in projects including The Dust Walker and The Lennon Report, and minor roles in the Hunger Games flick. Hunt and Dawson have also been kept in the dark about the specifics of their parts in the picture, much like Nielsen. Devin DiGonno, of Catalyst Studios, will produce the movie “Follow Me.” Holly Levow, Pennell, and Paul Kampf are producing the film in their respective executive producer, producer, and producer roles. Levow made the following comment on the movie in his statement: In order to provide fresh and imaginative female filmmakers with opportunities that have been limited in the past, Catalyst Studios was established to produce a slate of high-quality, fiscally conscientious, financially successful films with broad and recognisable audiences. As the second mission-based film from Catalyst, “Follow Me” is now under development.
