Chapter 88 of Dragon Ball Super is scheduled for publication on November 19 or 20, as it has been every year since the series start. To what may we look forward in Dragon Ball Super Episode 88?
Granolah’s life is quiet once more thanks to the destruction of the Heeter clan. Now that their training with Beerus and Whis has progressed, Goku and Vegeta may embark on their new adventures. The Saiyans were reminded that they are not the strongest by the fact that they are not the only ones that got a huge strength boost throughout the Granolah Survivor storyline. Frieza could easily defeat them in a single, devastating blow, even when they were at their absolute peak of power.
Since our heroes still have a long way to go before they reach their full potential, it’s possible that Dragon Ball Super chapter 88 may centre on their new training regimen. Goku and Vegeta will have to put in extra effort if they want to be as powerful as Frieza. Yet, the Saiyans’ efforts to refine their new transformations might be a major focus of this chapter as well. Vegeta has to learn how to harvest the force of devastation without nearly dying in combat, while Goku is still figuring out how to make the most of his True Ultra Instinct. They will be put through more rigorous training than ever before by the God of Destruction and his respective Angel.
Just what did the last chapter cover?
After their fight with Gas, Granolah, Goku, and Vegeta were cured by Monaito at the beginning of Dragon Ball Super Chapter 87. As the party was rejoicing in their win, the younger Heeter brother returned, appearing like a walking corpse. Our heroes had little chance against this updated version of Gas and were about to be annihilated when Frieza showed up. In a matter of seconds, the emperor had dispatched Gas and Elek, sparing the lives of our heroes. In the Room of Spirit and Time, Frieza trained for 10 years to achieve his new formidable form, Frieza Black. At the end of the chapter, Whis picks up the Saiyans and suggests that there may yet be an entity greater than Frieza.
