Hulu’s ‘Dragstravaganza’ Is Here! Cast, Synopsis, Release Date & More

A brand new trailer for Hulu’s Dragstravaganza special has been published, offering us a tantalising glimpse of the campy and vampy new variety show. This release of Dragstravaganza is a part of Hulu’s Huluween programming slate of scary shows and movies. Huluween premiered in 2018, and it features both cult classics in the horror genre and brand new, original material from Hulu that is themed around Halloween. The first episode of Dragstravaganza will air on Hulu on October 1, 2022. The following caption accompanied the new trailer’s debut on the official Hulu Twitter account today: “Sparkle and glam. Ghouls. The Killer Variety Show is responsible for several deaths.

Start celebrating #Huluween early with a weeklong #Dragstravaganza, starting October 1.” The new teaser provides an eerie preview of the special, complete with hazy vistas of the moon, glance inside a cursed television set, dancing werewolves and demons, and lots of drag splendour. Several renowned drag artists and one Dragula alumna will be performing at Dragstravaganza (fitting for Halloween). Lady Bunny, Manila Luzon, Mo Heart, Jackie Beat, Selene Luna, Jujubee, Landon Cider, and Mario Diaz will be featured heavily in the programme, which will be hosted by Ginger Minj and MonĂ©t X Change.

Kesha, who can be seen in the new teaser wearing chains and metal stars and accompanied by some extremely handsome backup dancers, will also be performing throughout the programme. The new special works wonderfully with the rest of Hulu’s Huluween programming. And what better time than Halloween to dress up as your favourite campy drag queen (or king)? The new programme is going for a wonderfully scary vibe by fusing the comedy of drag with over-the-top Halloween imagery. On September 16, 2022, the special’s theme song premiered.

This tune, appropriately titled “The Big Opening,” has us in the mood to get down. The Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Sixth Sense, the Blade trilogies, The Hand That Rocks the Cradle, and A Sinister Halloween Scary Opposites Solar Special are just some of the other terrifying shows that will be airing on Huluween this year. This October, Hulu will also debut a new version of Hellraiser, an original film produced specifically for the service. Tormenting individuals unlucky enough to cross their path is a recurring theme in the new film, just as it was in the first Pinhead. The debut of Dragstravaganza is set for October 1, 2022.
