The next month of October ushers the start of the Halloween season. It’s time for a Halloween movie marathon, and no scary film lineup would be complete without Scooby-Doo. For more than half a century, fans of animation have relied on this series. Warner Brothers have released a new trailer from the upcoming October release of the next Mystery Inc. film, Trick or Treat, Scooby-Doo! Having returned to Coolsville for Halloween, Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy, and Scooby are shown in the new clip.
Shaggy and Scooby are ecstatic, but Fred isn’t too pleased because he always likes to be investigating a good mystery. They are so ecstatic that they launch into a traditional Halloween montage of them going door to door collecting candy while dressed as the cutest kids ever. Both Scooby and his best friend Shaggy are dressed like the other. This period of tranquilly, replete with sweets, won’t last long, though, for the trio will soon find themselves embroiled in another mystery involving ghostly doubles. In this new picture, a mask manufacturer named Coco Diablo is involved in a costume crime ring, and the filmmakers hope to draw parallels between Scooby-Doo and this group.
In preparation for this film, the protagonist has created costumes for all of the infamous bad guys that will make cameo appearances, including The Black Knight Ghost, Captain Cutler’s Ghost, and the Space Kook. Following the fabulously spooky Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island in 1998, Trick or Treat, Scooby-Doo! will be the franchise’s 37th direct-to-video feature. Scooby-animated Doo’s episodes have been inconsistent since then, but the episodes that honour the show’s legacy are unforgettable. Some of the most well-liked mysteries in the Scooby-Doo franchise include the live-action sequel Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed and Scooby-Doo and the Cyber Chase.
The previously published teaser suggests that this new feature will follow the series’ more positive humorous tendency rather than the more balanced horror-comedy combination of the original cartoons and movies. We’re hoping that, unlike the forgettable Happy Halloween, Scooby-Doo!, Trick or Treat will be more in the vein of the series’ classics like Zombie Island and Witch’s Ghost.
As part of the network’s Scoobtober Halloween event, Trick or Treat, Scooby-Doo! will premiere on October 14 after its digital release on October 4. On October 18, you may also purchase the DVD of the film. Pre-orders for “Trick or Treat, Scooby-Doo!” are currently available on Amazon.
