Bridgerton, a popular series on Netflix, has helped start the careers of several of its actors, and the show shows no signs of ending any time soon. According to The Hollywood Reporter, series actress Phoebe Dynevor has been cast in a leading role in a new spy thriller film from Miramax. Reportedly, principal photography on Inheritance has wrapped up. Few specifics about Inheritance have been revealed. But the plot is being framed as an espionage thriller, with Dynevor’s heroine plunged into “a world of secret and criminality” when her absent father reappears in her life.
Filming has already taken place in India, Korea, and Egypt, suggesting that the movie, like any good spy picture, would be an action-packed adventure set in several locations across the world. So yet, no one else has been revealed to star in the picture. Dynevor had already established herself as a British television star with roles in shows like Dickensian and The Village and Prisoners Wives before her breakthrough performance in Bridgerton. Dynevor’s career, however, took off in the United States once the romantic series on Netflix became popular there.
Since Bridgerton’s release, she’s been cast in other movies alongside A-listers. She will next be seen starring Alden Ehrenreich in the suspense film Fair Play, as well as Logan Lerman in the romantic comedy The Threesome. Apart from the impending Prime Video series Exciting Times, her other future projects include the comedic Bank of Dave and the suspenseful I Heart Murder. Neil Burger co-wrote the screenplay for Inheritance with Olen Steinhaur and helmed the film. The Illusionist, The Lucky Ones, Limitless, and Divergent are just a few of the critically acclaimed films that Burger has directed. Several episodes of the show Billions have been directed by him as well. Next up for him as a director is the forthcoming psychological thriller The Marsh King’s Daughter, starring Daisy Ridley, Ben Mendelsohn, and Garrett Hedlund.
Burger has written scripts for several films, including The Illusionist, The Lucky Ones, and the most current Colin Farrell movie, Voyagers. Steinhaur has written for several notable shows and movies, including the suspenseful TV series Berlin Station and the new Chris Pine, feature All The Old Knives on Amazon Prime Video. Burger, together with Bill Block and Charles Miller, will also produce the film Inheritance.
