Everyone seems to be raving about Steelrising, a new RPG in the vein of Souls, and we can understand why. Gorgeous visuals, an interesting plot, and soul-like gameplay with fresh features set this out as a very original game. The game’s sombre tone works nicely with the victorian aesthetic and French Revolution theme. The issue arises, “Is the French language available in the game?” from French fans who like soul-like games and would like to play in their home tongue.
If you’re interested in learning more about Steelrising and whether or not it supports the French language, keep reading! It’s the newest instalment in a series of games similar to Souls, and it’s themed on an invented French Revolution. There is a high demand for a French translation of Steelrising because of the game’s French creators. Since most consumers are located in the West, English is the language of choice. Given that it’s ostensibly set in a fictitious French Revolution, being able to hear normal talks in French does sound great and adds to the mood.
The price of employing voice actors might also add up. Overspending on the game’s budget can cause serious issues for the development company, as money must be spent optimising and releasing the game on several platforms. Yet, despite this, the title must provide French language support.
Does Steelrising have French language support?
The unsatisfactory reply is, of course, NO! It’s unfortunate that the game doesn’t offer support for the French language. Despite the developers being French, the French-speaking customers of the game are disappointed that there is no French dub. Given the game’s recent release, it’s possible that other language packs will be made available at a later date. These language packs are rumoured to feature French along with a slew of other languages. Remember that this is only our best guess, and treat it as such.
