Mikey broke the news last week that Shinichiro is a time traveller, after hearing it from Wakasa. All Things Must Pass, Tokyo Revengers Chapter 269, took readers back to the first timeline where Shinichiro existed. Read on to find out more about the most upsetting parts of this section.
In the final chapter, what occurred? (Recap)
In chapter 268 of Tokyo Revenger, Takemichi landed the first knockout blow of the battle, sending Mikey to the ground for the first time. Mikey saw the fight was going nowhere and decided to chat to Takemichi about who the second time-leaper may be. The former disclosed that Shinichiro, his brother, was the first to rescue him from the past.
Summary of Chapter 269:
The original timeline was seen in a flashback at the beginning of Tokyo Revengers chapter 269. The whole Black Dragon gang was following Shinichiro and Mikey as they drove about on the former’s motorcycle. Jokingly, Takeomi questioned Shinichiro if he really needed to invite his younger brother to their final night as gang members. Shinichiro smiled and said that it was necessary since Mikey was like a son to him and needed to take advice from more experienced people. Takeomi, Benkei, and Wakasa made fun of Shinichiro for believing a biker gang would be a good place for him to develop as a person. Mikey begged his elder brother Shinichiro for a bike, but Shinichiro stated he wasn’t old enough yet.
Manjiro boasted that he’d be more successful than his sibling. The Black Dragon gang’s first generation was officially disbanded after Shinichiro’s final speech that evening. With tears in his eyes, Mikey watched as his elder brother urged his fellow Black Dragons to keep fighting and to be proud to call themselves members of the Black Dragon Family. A few months later, Shinichiro returned to his father’s grave in Tokyo Revenger’s chapter 269. The young guy assured his younger brother, Mikey, that he would look out for him and help him improve so that he might one day surpass him.
When Shinichiro was leaving the cemetery, he found a teddy bear for Emma and a model Concorde aeroplane he had purchased for Mikey. The oldest Sano brought the gifts to his younger siblings when he got home. When Mikey opened the present his brother had bought for him, he was overjoyed. Shinichiro warned Mikey to put in long hours creating it because he would not be providing much assistance. After handing Mikey his plane in chapter 268 of Tokyo Revengers, Shinichiro moved on to working in a motorcycle repair a month later in chapter 269. He was alerted by a coworker that his grandfather was phoning and sounded upset. Grandpa Sano informed Shinichiro that Mikey had fallen down the stairs while playing and was showing no signs of waking up.
When Shinichiro arrived at the hospital, he saw his grandpa, Baji, Sanzu, and Senju crying over an unconscious Mikey. Mikey’s buddies Baji and Sanzu told a shocked Shinichiro that Mikey had fallen while playing with his model plane. Manjiro, unwilling to share his prized possession with his playmates, ran amok throughout the home. After what Baji can only describe as a tremendous noise, Mikey froze in place, Baji has no recollection of what happened next. Shinichiro could only watch helplessly as his brother struggled. In the next chapter of Tokyo Revenger, a physician meets with Shinichiro and his grandfather. He told them that Mikey’s brain was severely injured in the accident and that he would be in a permanent coma.
The youngster would go on alive, but he would never be able to communicate or walk again. The doctor had exhausted all possible avenues of treatment, and Mikey could not be saved. When Shinichiro got home, he burned the model Concord, blaming it for his brother’s deteriorated mental state. Four years after the incident, in Tokyo Revenger chapter 269. Shinichiro was seen strolling across the park with a nonresponsive Mikey. The original chronology that Mikey described at the end of the previous chapter was revealed for the first time in Tokyo Revengers chapter 269. A comatose Mikey was a shock, even with the awareness that something terrible had happened to Mikey in that timeframe.
Although it was a difficult read, this chapter solved many of the problems introduced in 268. Shinichiro’s decision to alter the past’s course has finally been explained. Considering how much he values his loved ones, it’s safe to assume that he jumped at the opportunity to save Manjiro. The model aeroplane that Shinichiro handed his younger brother appears to be a crucial item in the evolution of any timeframe. Mikey’s plane crash caused his accident in the first timeline, but in the manga’s primary timeline, it marked the beginning of his Dark Impulses. Mikey and Shinichiro’s survival may rest on discovering why this toy is so important to Wakui.
It’s possible that Shinichiro’s original chronology will be revisited in the following episode. Perhaps we’ll find out where and how Mikey’s elder brother learnt to utilise his time-travelling powers, too. In light of the events of Chapter 269 of Tokyo Revengers, readers are likely to be impatiently awaiting the arrival of the next instalment.
