Chapter 1060 of One Piece: A Dream Exposed, Unheard
The events of One Piece Chapter 1060 begin with the Straw Hats and the Thousand Sunny out at sea with two Sea Kings in close proximity. Luffy’s outcry against the claims that Sabo killed Cobra Nefertari immediately disturbs the Sea Kings and the Sunny, with the Straw Hat Captain insisting that his brother would never do such a thing. Nico Robin concurs, explaining that the Revolutionary Army’s foes are not the monarchs of the earth but rather the Celestial Dragons. Following the declaration of war by the Revolutionary Army, the supposed death of Cobra by Sabo, and Vivi’s present abduction, the Reverie plays back the headlines from the Straw Hats’ stay in Alabasta. Zoro says it’s pointless to head for Alabasta now that Cobra is dead and Vivi was last seen there, but Luffy insists they make the journey nonetheless. Instead, he suggests they travel there, with Caribou nearby in a chained barrel, grieving the thought of leaving for Mariejois.
Luffy calls Zoro a chicken for warning them that they’re walking into a hornet’s nest if they do that. Sanji is shown comically sobbing about Vivi’s safety, and the Straw Hat Swordsman replies that he means they have no leads on Vivi. We then witness Chopper sobbing at the loss of Cobra, who had been so kind to them despite their status as pirates.
In Chapter 1060 of One Piece, Nami and Usopp join the conversation, with Nami unable to decide whether she should be concerned about Vivi or how she is handling the situation. Meanwhile, Usopp just agrees with Usopp, and One Piece Chapter 1060 shifts to the rest of the Straw Hats’ comments. While Franky is explaining that Sabo is the brother they met in Dressrosa, Jinbe remarks on how turbulent this year’s Reverie looked to be. Then, when Nami, Luffy, and Chopper start grieving over Vivi and expressing a wish to save her, Brook makes a statement about never knowing someone who is dissatisfied with the way Alabasta is controlled. Zoro, however, plays the usual older brother and urges them to knock it off while also reminding Luffy of what the latter said about Ace.
With a sad expression on his face, Ace appears to remember that, in a flashback, Luffy remarked that Ace should be let live his own life. The latter tells him that he must have faith in Vivi the same way he had faith in Ace when he was first learning to fend for himself.
They then hear a third party—likely Robin—say that they may assist if necessary but that they should otherwise continue on their journey without interruption. Sanji joins Luffy, Nami, and Chopper as they tease Zoro by calling him names and suggesting that he return to Onigashima. When they arrived in Wano, there were a number of big and rapidly growing events happening throughout the world, and in Chapter 1060 of One Piece, we see Robin still reading the newspaper. Luffy comments that there must be a mixup when she recounts the dissolution of the Shichibukai, the establishment of the Cross Guild, and Buggy’s promotion to Yonko. When asked if he’d want to learn about other, more well-known individuals in the news, Robin responds there are many. He doesn’t insist on having any say in the matter, instead asking if there’s anything she thinks we should be keeping an eye on, and she agrees.
Luffy lays down and repeats his earlier assertion that Sabo is innocent, providing background information about his upbringing and explaining why he doesn’t want anybody else’s liberties restricted in the same way his own were. Because of this, Luffy starts thinking back to the day when he and Sabo told Ace and each other about their dreams in One Piece Chapter 1060. Unfortunately for the readers, Luffy relates his dream both in the past and the present, but they are unable to understand it. One Piece Chapter 1060 depicts, however, the responses of all people around him to what they had heard, just as when he was a youngster. What Luffy stated seemed to have startled the Thousand Sunny and bewildered Zoro, Jinbe, and Nami. Whatever Luffy said, Brook, Franky, and Sanji all seemed overjoyed to hear it, whether it was hysterically absurd or they actually appreciated his goal. The responses of Usopp, Robin, and Chopper are shown in Chapter 1060 of One Piece. Usopp asks Luffy whether he’s serious with a hostile tone, while Robin is speechless in astonishment. Meanwhile, Chopper’s face beams with joy and enthusiasm at what Luffy has stated. At that point in Chapter 1060 of One Piece, Usopp walks up to Luffy and says, “There’s no way someone can achieve that.”
While Usopp wonders where he gets “this crap,” Luffy retorts that he’ll have a fighting chance if he becomes King of the Pirates. To which Usopp replies, “because it’s impossible,” prompting Luffy to reflect on the fact that he never shared this information with them before. After remembering that he’s only told Shanks, Ace, and Sabo, Robin naturally inquires as to their reactions. Luffy cheerfully replies that everyone laughed, with tears of laughter streaming down Shanks’ cheeks. Then he shuts his eyes, indicating that this is exactly how he wants his dream to finish. Then, Jinbe bursts out laughing, claiming that he can’t claim it’s not his problem because he voluntarily joined Luffy’s gang. Chopper exclaims that his dream was incredible, and Nami observes how much it sounds like him, prompting the Captain to chuckle. Franky continues by saying that the only way his dream can come true is if he becomes the Pirate King, thus they need to get the last Road Poneglyph quickly. Even while he makes it sound simple, Robin points out that it has been a long time since anybody has seen the fourth Road Poneglyph. With the perspective change in Chapter 1060 of One Piece, she brings up the fact that they have no idea where to seek it. There is once again uncertainty about Sabo’s whereabouts in One Piece Chapter 1060.
Chapter 1060 of One Piece shifts to Marine Headquarters in the New World, where the same Marines are still listening in on Sabo’s call to the Kamabakka Queendom. Two of the five Gorosei respond on hearing that the Marines tracked his location to the Lulucia Kingdom. Marines say that since Lulucia recently revolted, it would be a great area for Sabo to hide, thus Im-sama must be paying attention to the news. As the story progresses to the Kamabakka Queendom in Chapter 1060 of One Piece, the other three Gorosei comment on how unfortunate Sabo is, with one of them suggesting it’s simply fate. Ivankov says that they are relieved to learn that Sabo is okay, and he offers his apologies for the problems he caused. Sabo yells at Dragon, claiming he didn’t slay King Cobra. This draws the attention of Ivankov and the other seasoned Revolutionary Army members, who provide their thoughts as Sabo proceeds to describe the amazing occurrence he witnessed at Mariejois. As he says this, the scene in One Piece Chapter 1060 shifts to the kingdom of Lulucia, where the sky is darkening and inhabitants are discussing the presence of a large object above the clouds. The King of Lulucia, Seki, and Princess Komane are then shown warning the Revolutionaries that they’ll come to repent their actions once the World Government learns about them.
As Sabo elaborates on what he witnessed in the Throne Room of Pangaea Castle, the Revolutionaries plead with the monarch to confess to his misdeeds so that they may spare his life. As images of Im-sama play, the voice of an assumed Marine can be heard ordering, “cut the signal to the surveillance division’s transponder snails.” When Sabo reveals that he saw Im-sama seated on the Empty Throne, he responds by crossing off the Kingdom of Lulucia on the map. A second Transponder Snail voice is heard indicating that, as far as the surveillance division is concerned, nothing out of the ordinary was picked up today. In the background, while they speak, a tremendous light begins to fall down on Lulucia, something that Sabo has also seen. An unknown voice adds, “Im-eye sama’s is seen as a massive light grows in the skies over Lulucia, but no information was intercepted.” The speaker on the phone says Lulucia didn’t exist, while multiple Kizaru-like lasers are fired from above, blinding the island’s inhabitants and causing a gigantic spherical explosion.
Reports of earthquakes at sea have been coming in from the southeast, the voice says, warning of impending tsunamis as the Lulucia Kingdom crumbles. In One Piece Chapter 1060, the viewpoint changes once again to show Koala screaming out for Sabo, who doesn’t respond.
New Friends and Exciting Adventures, Chapter 1060 of One Piece
Then, in Chapter 1060 of One Piece, we return to the Thousand Sunny as it makes its way through the New World’s ocean in the dead of winter. Jinbe yells orders at the crew and then asks Nami when they will make a landing; Nami explains that they are now in an island climatic zone and that the next island they will reach seems to be a winter island. After Robin had remarked on Chopper’s “dashing” winter attire, we watch him emerge from the cabin and make his way out onto the deck in full view. While Nami describes what Luffy is pointing to as a “huge warm Eddy,” or Eddy current, Luffy is curious about what he is seeing. When Brook comments that it looks like an afro, she adds that it’s actually a mass of warm water being driven up from underneath. Nami warns Jinbe that the sudden temperature shift is harmful and that they must flee before they are engulfed. Sanji says he “certainly hears a lady in distress” after Luffy says someone is drowning in the ocean.
But, as Nami points out, even if they’re serious and someone is in there, they can’t do anything.
Sanji warns Zoro not to injure the woman within when Zoro recommends severing it. Zoro uses the Bird Dance to slice through the water blockage just before “amigasa-hat Chopper” arrives on deck to do his shift. On the other hand, his hat’s design causes him to be swiftly and comically blown away by the winds. The incident causes Luffy to try to save Chopper by extending his arm, but the Straw Hat Captain and his friend are both swept away along with Chopper. At the end of One Piece Chapter 1060, when Luffy and Chopper thrash about in the air, a jet of water shoots forth something that turns out to be a kid-form Jewelry Bonney, who has been reintroduced with a reward of 320 million Beri.
Summary – One Piece Chapter 1060
As a whole, One Piece Chapter 1060 is a highly illuminating chapter that catches up with readers and the Straw Hats on what’s been going on in the series recently. The issue also does a great job of building up future battles by suggesting that Im-sama has access to a formidable weapon that has not yet been presented. The events of this issue leave readers with many unanswered issues, the most pressing of which is what happened to Sabo in One Piece Chapter 1060. Many people think he died in the explosion or after falling into the water, although it hasn’t been proven either way as of this writing. Finally, Jewellery Bonney’s return in Chapter 1060 of One Piece opens up some fascinating prospects for the near future of the tale. She may not only be able to fill in the Straw Hats on what went down at the Reverie, but also on the 4th Road Poneglyph, of which Robin mentioned earlier in the issue that they knew nothing.
