The New Trailer for “Shantaram” Stars Charlie Hunnam, Synopsis, Cast, Release Date & Everything you need to know

Today, Apple dropped a new teaser and some new photos from their forthcoming thriller series Shantaram, which will debut on Apple TV+ in the fall. Charlie Hunnam (Sons of Anarchy) plays a wanted criminal in the 1980s who arrives in Bombay to attempt to figure out his next move. He risks losing his privacy after falling for a mystery woman. In one month, the launch of the brand new programme will occur. The Shantaram teaser introduces us to Hunnam as Lin Ford, an inmate who breaks out of jail only to learn that he must go halfway around the world to continue living a life of freedom.

This leads him to Bombay, India, where he begins his new life. Ford learns the hard way that no one can remain undetected indefinitely. Ford’s connection with Karla Saaranen (Antonia Desplat), who regularly utters the kind of lines that make us wonder what her issue is, is highlighted as one of the series’ suspense elements in the teaser. Finally, the Shantaram teaser indicates that, despite being a wanted man, Ford finds a way to atonement in Bombay, making his situation much more difficult should he be compelled to leave once more. Steve Lightfoot and Eric Warren Singer are responsible for creating Shantaram. The former has won critical recognition for his work on hit programmes like Hannibal and Marvel’s The Punisher, while the latter wrote 2022’s highest-grossing picture, Top Gun: Maverick.

Gregory David Roberts’ best-selling novel of the same name served as inspiration for Lightfoot and Singer’s adaptation. Lightfoot not only writes for and runs the programme, but Bharat Nalluri (The Man Who Invented Christmas) also directs an episode. Cast members include Shubham Saraf, Elektra Kilbey, Fayssal Bazzi, Luke Pasqualino, Alyy Khan, Sujaya Dasgupta, Vincent Perez, David Field, Alexander Siddig, Gabrielle Scharnitzky, Elham Ehsas, Rachel Kamath, Matthew Joseph, and Shiv Palekar in addition to Charlie Hunnam and Alexandre Desplat. On October 14, Apple TV+ will debut the first three episodes of Shantaram. Every subsequent Friday through December 16 will provide another of the remaining nine episodes.

Synopsis
In ‘Shantaram,’ Hunnam plays a runaway called Lin Ford who arrives in 1980s Bombay hoping to get lost in the city’s vivacity and chaos. Isolated in a strange city, Lin finds it difficult to evade the danger he’s trying to escape. Lin is forced to make a difficult decision as he develops feelings for the mysterious and fascinating Karla.
