The Killer Doll’s Origins in Season 2 of ‘Chucky’ Poster, Synopsis, Cast, Release Date & Everything you need to know

The return of Chucky is imminent! Studios have released an official poster to promote the October 5 debut of Season 2 of the USA Network and Syfy series. The Good Guy doll stands on a gilded throne, appearing as diabolical as ever, surrounded by more Easter eggs than we can count. Chucky may be seen with his hands on the armrests, which include carved images of his wife Tiffany Valentine and their daughter Glenda. Like the Iron Throne in “Game of Thrones,” which is made from swords, Chucky’s chair is constructed from the numerous implements he has used to dismember his victims.

There are several tools, like a butcher’s cleaver, hammers, and hatchets, carved into the artwork, and their identities become clearer the more one examines them. The inclusion of a frightened jack-in-the-box behind the possessed doll’s shoulders is a nod to the poster for Child’s Play 2. A clever pun combining the upcoming second season with a religious theme, “The Second Coming” appears at the top of the poster. The second season of the Don Mancini-created show concluded filming in the middle of August, with the first teaser debuting at the end of July. Since then, there has been much talk amongst followers about their expectations for the reappearance of the cruel Good Guy doll.

Chucky (Brad Dourif) appeared to have shed more blood than ever before, and he was plotting his global conquest when we last saw him. Fans were left wondering what would happen to regular victim Andy (Alex Vincent) after she saw him being shoved into a van full of dolls by a possessed Tiffany (Jennifer Tilly). In the meantime, Tiffany amputated Nica’s (Fiona Dourif) limbs towards the end of Season 1 in an effort to keep her as a friend for the long haul. Next season will also have a deeper dive into the past of serial murderer Charles Lee Ray, the soul inhabiting Chucky, and the further development of the budding relationship between Jake (Zackary Arthur) and Devon (Björgvin Arnarson).

We are very much looking forward to seeing Devon Sawa return to the show, but this time as a different character, after both of his characters, a set of twins were murdered in the first season. Tiffany and Chucky’s kid Glen/Glenda is also expected to make a comeback to the Chucky realm. What became to the character after he was last seen in Seed of Chucky (2004) is a mystery. Lachlan Watson, who plays Zack in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, will play the role in the future season.
