Gillian Anderson, who stars in the Netflix original series Sex Education, gave fans a sneak glimpse behind the scenes with an Instagram post while production on Season 4 continues. The post doesn’t provide any story details, but it does show some of the work that went into making Jean Milburn a real person. Anderson posts a picture of herself doing her hair and makeup, complete with a doll that seems intriguing sitting on her vanity. Jean Milburn, Otis’s mother and a sex therapist, is portrayed by Anderson. Audiences have watched her go through her fair share of thrills and spills during the course of the programme.
Many of her real sessions with customers were seen when she was initially introduced, and viewers observed how her profession encouraged her to be more candid about sex-related matters with Otis (even if it makes him occasionally squirm). Jean is an author and educator on the issue of sexuality who has contributed to the sex education programme at Moordale Secondary. Jean is a single parent with a tumultuous history with Otis’s father, her ex-husband.
Not long after, she had an exclusive connection with another guy named Jakob, and eventually gave birth to his child. Jean has given birth before the conclusion of Season 3, however, she has revealed that Jakob is not the father. Expect to see who it is in Season 4 and follow along as Jean and Otis become parents for the first time. Otis (Asa Butterfield) is the main character in Sex Education. He is a socially awkward kid who has a mother who is a sex therapist. His accidental assistance to a classmate leads him and Maeve (Emma Mackey), another student, to set up a secret sex therapy clinic on campus. By the end of Season 3, the clinic has been closed indefinitely.
After the school was sold to property developers, the pupils had to find new educational opportunities. In the meanwhile, Maeve was presented with a fantastic chance in the United States. Beginning in Season 4, Otis, Eric (Ncuti Gatwa), and the rest of the gang will be attending a new school together at Cavendish Sixth Form College. Once the dust settles, Otis plans to get back to work at the clinic while he and Eric fight to keep their reputations intact. Despite their cautious optimism, they find that many aspects of life at Cavendish are very different from those at Moordale, including the campus’s amenities and the overall attitudes of its student body.
Maeve transfers to a new programme at Wallace University, a well-regarded institution in the United States, which is located across the Atlantic. Laurie Nunn conceived, executive produced, and is the showrunner for Sex Education, together with Jamie Campbell and Ben Taylor. Eleven Productions created the series for Netflix. Aimee Lou Wood, Alistair Petrie, Connor Swindells, Kedar Williams-Stirling, George Robinson, Dua Saleh, Samantha Spiro, and Chinenye Ezeudu are also among the returning cast members. Dan Levy, Thaddea Graham, Marie Reuther, Alexandra James, Anthony Lexa, Felix Mufti, and Imani Yahshua, to name a few, join the cast in Season 5. There is currently no set date for Season 4 of Sex Education. If you haven’t yet, you can watch the first three seasons on Netflix right now.
