The release of “One Piece” 1060 is getting closer, however, there have been rumours that the episode would be postponed. Although there are no official spoilers available just yet, several speculations have surfaced online. One of them claims that the manga will follow Weevil and highlight his war against Marco the Phoenix. Others think the next chapter will reveal the Straw Hats’ eventual destination.
The official “One Piece” 1060 teaser suggested, “In the chaotic world, what the Straw Hats see in front of their eyes is…”, leading many viewers to speculate that the destination of the Straw Hat Pirates will be revealed. Some fans believe that Luffy and the Thousand Sunny’s crew planned to stop in Elbaf, a New World island kingdom ruled by giants. It has also been speculated that Whitebeard’s self-proclaimed son, Weevil, might make an appearance in “One Piece” 1060.
Author Eiichiro Oda has updated readers on the status of the Shichibukai and Emperors of the Sea in recent chapters after the Wano arc. Many readers anticipate that the next manga chapter will disclose Weevil’s bounty and whereabouts. In other stories, Whitebeard’s supposed son faces up against Marco the Phoenix, who many readers assume would perish in the conflict. Prior to joining the Straw Hats in their battle at Wano, Marco had been expecting Weevil to launch an attack on Whitebeard’s town.
Before the Great War in the locked nation, he discussed his captain’s history with the hamlet and the allegations that Edward Weevil was attacking individuals related to Whitebeard with Nekomamushi. Marco also brought up the fictional money Weevil was after and how it didn’t exist. He didn’t come to Wano with Nekomamushi because he did not want to risk being in the Sphinx’s way when Weevil attacked.
More and more fans appear to be buying into this hypothesis as of late, perhaps because prior chapters gave Marco the Phoenix ample opportunity to say goodbye to Shanks and the Straw Hats in a fitting manner. Shanks urged Marco to join his crew at the beginning of “One Piece” 1059, but Whitebeard’s former first division commander declined and instead headed to Sphinx. As previously announced, “One Piece” 1060 will not debut on September 18. Instead, it will debut on September 19.
