The teaser for a new horror film has five daring teenage protagonists who go out on a peculiarly spooky mission: to spend their “best holiday” night at a Spirit Halloween pop-up store, which is also the haunt of angry ghosts. The second trailer for the horror-comedy film Spirit Halloween: The Movie, directed by David Poag, is out now, and it’s scarier than the first. It has characters in a supernatural muddle and more horrifying possessed Halloween things, all set to give the youngsters a night they’ll never forget. The forthcoming family-friendly horror film, “Spirit Halloween,” was inspired by the yearly Halloween shop and follows a group of middle school students who haven’t “outgrown trick or treating” and dare each other to spend the night in the store’s frightening atmosphere.
As their Halloween party progresses, they learn that the area is actually haunted by the ghost of a land developer who vanished mysteriously on that night. To survive the night without being possessed by the ghosts prowling the store, they will have to take their first steps into a terrifying new world. Costumes, props, and decorations are all available in one convenient location at Spirit Halloween. Naturally, the famed pop-up shop’s crew built the animatronic characters shown in Spirit Halloween: The Movie. When Hideout Pictures expressed interest in making a movie based on the pop-up store, Spirit Halloween EVP Kym Sarkos jumped at the chance: “We partnered with the movie production company early on to ensure that everything from the store layout to the animatronics themselves felt authentic to our brand and would bring to life the magic that our fans know and l”
Donovan Colan, Marissa Reyes, Jaiden J. Smith, and Dylan Martin Frankel feature in Spirit Halloween: The Movie, which was written by Bates.
Rachel Leigh Cook, Marla Gibbs, Christopher Lloyd, and Brad Carter are also part of the supporting cast. Poag will make his directing debut with this next film. The next horror film is probably going to be a comedy, and the trailer makes it look like a lot of fun, so it will be a great way to get the Halloween party started, or just to have a good time on the holiday itself. The film will debut in select theatres on September 30, and it will be made available on video-on-demand services beginning October 11.
